Beautiful pre-dawn colour yesterday morning.

View from Higger Tor.

Last minute decision as the sunset looked promising. It never really got going and became pretty wild but it was so quiet with just a couple of climbers and two lads who had started the day in Glossop and had about 20 miles under their belt.

Found this composition with little water pool, its a shame that there was no cloud in the sky to add some interest

A splendid day out with Sven Roden [https://www.flickr.com/photos/sven_roden] a couple of weeks ago - apart from the multitudinous midge bites, that is.

Towards Higger tor on a wet day....some great rocks around these parts

The rocks up here take on interesting shapes :-)

The pre-dawn colours were amazing this morning. But, after that, there was a couple of minutes of intense light.

The most prominent stone of the Wet Withens embanked stone circle on Eyam Moor which seems to mirror the shape of a distant Higger Tor.

Morning light on Higger Tor,, looking into Burbage Valley.

Spent a wonderful, but very wet, week in The Peak District. This was from sunset on Higger Tor, just before the rain came and flooded everything.

The colour of the heather getting a helping hand from the early, warm light.

First light on Higger Tor this morning. A lot of cloud was forecast for this morning but I took a gamble and went out anyway. If nothing else I'd get to drive over the Snake Pass for the first time this year, something I always enjoy.

My gamble paid off as it was a decent sunrise with some lovely light.

Another view from Higger Tor, not sure why I put this one away in the Archive. Quite like this one.
