I made this jacket from thrift store wool sweaters that I felted and sewed together in a large piece of patchwork. I cut the sweater from that large piece. It is emboidered and embellished with needle felting and vintage buttons.
Here she is in her tiny embroidered undies. Beneath her are two more Petite Poppets that I'm working on.
These whimsical toadstool mushrooms are irresistible to little hands...and those with active imaginations!
Children enjoy using mushrooms to create wonder-filled scenes as they play with their gnomes, fairies, and miniature animals.
The mushrooms also make a delightful addition to a nature table or indoor forest scene.
At 2 1/2" x 2 1/2", this red-capped mushroom is made from high-quality, 100% wool felt.
It is lightly stuffed with wool from sheep that I raised; and is carefully hand-embroidered using the blanket-stitch around all endges.
The mushroom cap has three hand-embroidered white spots that are firmly attached. All stitching is done with all natural, cotton embroidery floss. The pattern is my own design.
This mushroom would make a wonderful addition to a holiday/Christmas stocking, or a present for anyone who loves mushrooms.

"We are all interested in the future for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives" Edward D. Wood, Jr.
A celebration of the awesomeness that is Ed Wood.
I made this for my Dad. He loves this quote so much that it's his email signature.
More felty goodness. Another ornament. This one was sketched, hand cut, embroidered with the blanket stitched and layered and pieced together. Lots of glittered coordinating fabric paint added for that magical sparkle!

For Guanocurry, based on the book "Monster" by A. Lee Martinez (book cover in bottom right corner).
I wanted this to look like the advertisement on the book cover, as if an item had been distributed out to advertise Monster’s pest control services. Embroidering on a ‘fridge magnet was out of the question (for me), so I thought a tea towel might do...
In retrospect, tiny letters & details on tea towel fabric are a PAIN - a 'fridge magnet might have been easier. ;)
Hand knitted cuff, embellished with coral lace, Swarovski Padparadscha bicones, sequins and seed beads...
Part of the Duvet Project, Lady Godiva pattern from Cate Anevski (Bees Knees Industries). I've wanted to do one of her patterns for a long time.
I wanted this to be pale (to emphasize all that lovely hair), so the horse is in blended white & gray flosses, hoof and eye in blended gray & black, and her hair is blended from three "golden" shades.
She reminded of Betty Grable in Down Argentine Way and He reminded me of Archie Goodwin dancing at the Flamingo Club. I can combine film and literary characters if I want to.
From this vintage pattern.

This ATC is made with a flannel chicken-print fabric (the background and the back). It also has an extra layer of the flannel on the inside. (So it's a nice, soft card.)
The chick is cut from orange and yellow cotton fabrics.
The chicken's body, wings, comb, and beak are all blanket-stitched. I also hand embroidered the eyes and legs. The card is blanket-stitched.
This ATC is the standard size (2 1/2" x 3 1/2").
It is available for trade (a 1:1 trade for another textile card or a 2:1 trade for non-textile cards...e.g., 2 collage or paper based cards for the textile chicken card).
