This work is the tenth in a series of "Remnants", which were all inspired by very old, heavily patched and stitched textiles, (such as certain types of boro and utilitarian quilts) and the old, worn and weathered rural structures that surround where I live, (and where straight lines cease to exist.)

Custom order for my flicker pal! Hand crafted felt flower brooches. Each was created from hand cut felt pieces in different shapes, sizes, designs and colors. Each on has its own unique style. The colors were chosen based upon coordinating fabric yarn from the buyer. The idea is to combine these brooches with her great fabric purses and bags.

This flower bed hoop art is hand embroidered entirely with my flower bed design in 6 inch wooden hoop by using DMC embroidery threads on medium-weight cotton fabric from Japan.
Dress is made from vintage red velvet lavishly hand embroidered/beaded, hands, arms and head are sculpted from air-dry clay, painted with fine brush.
sewsew-a- gogo turned me on the this artist Derek Yaniger and I found this pirate that I embroidered on a bib. I know a bunch of people who are pregnant now, someone is bound to have a boy!
Her curves remind me of Joan Holloway. Too bad I didn't have any orange
thread for her hair!

This flower bed hoop art is hand embroidered entirely with my flower bed design in 5 inch wooden hoop by using DMC embroidery threads on medium-weight cotton fabric from Japan.
The quilt I made and raffled off to fund WS.net's hosting fees. Made from band t-shirts donated by various members and the white stripes' web store. The drum kit was hand embroidered by me and the airline was hand embroidered by my friend Mollie. I machine quilted wonky straight lines in the white sashing and hand quilted a different geometric pattern in each of the t-shirt blocks.

First, I made the doll with embroidered red velvet dress and she inspired me to create this cuff /bracelet. Entirely hand sewn/embroidered and beaded, made from vintage velvet, red silk tulle ruffle and deep red satin lining. I love this design, so more of this kind cuffs will probably created in future in various color shades.

Black cotton fabric as the backdrop, the white stems and swirls -- as well as the rainbow colored flower blossoms -- pop in this piece, stretched in an 8-inch hoop.
This piece has a nice weight to it. It has about 2 ounces of sterling silver and 24 felt beads. Very kinetic.
A lovely pincushion adorned with a hand embroidered hummingbird image on home dec fabric. Backed with linen in creamy natural. A black braided trim circles the outer edge.
