Custom order for my flicker pal! Hand crafted felt flower brooches. Each was created from hand cut felt pieces in different shapes, sizes, designs and colors. Each on has its own unique style. The colors were chosen based upon coordinating fabric yarn from the buyer. The idea is to combine these brooches with her great fabric purses and bags.

You all know how I adore the PBK Penelope collection!! I have been wanting to translate that into a pair of baby booties for quite some time. My ability to creatively craft lately has been hampered by much stress at home..so I have been away from it..but glad to get back in the swing I hope..

Please see my profile for a link to these booties...

This was such a fun pincushion to create. lately, I've had some wrist issues that have kept me from embroidery. I discovered this pretty leaf print cotton with a soft weave. I also added a hoop to my tool box. Between the 2, I was able to stitch this beauty with the horrible aches and pains.

Beauty always seems to come at a price.

It will take a lot more than a few aches to keep me from stitching!

I originally posted a compilation image that included this full view of my 2ftx3ft fabric-based mixed media piece plus 3 detail images. I thought that that particular collection of 4 images did a good job of summarizing the work of art. But they felt awkward as a collage so I deleted that and reposted the 4 images separately. The 3 details images, in the order I feel they are best presented, are titled “In the Garden part X of 4” but this image doesn’t have “part 1 of 4” appended to the title because it stands alone. Sense can be made of it without the context of the full collection of 4 images. And since it is a full view, it shows all the parts. Still, I think this full view is best appreciated when seen followed by the wing, eye, and signature details which give a fuller representation of the work.
