Made two doughnuts, a fried egg, and tea bag for a breakfast meal. All the items are made from wool felt, cotton floss, and sheep-wool stuffing. Made the frosting on the doughnut pink and the added a heart on the tea bag since Valentine's Day is less than a couple of weeks away.
The items are all hand embroidered using the blanket-stitch and straight stitch (for the sprinkles on the chocolate doughnut).
The doughnuts and fried egg are made from patterns in a Japanese magazine. The tea bag is my own pattern using a real tea bag for the pattern, and a heart (for Valentine's Day which is right around the corner).
This meal was for "Fake Food For The More Experienced ~ Your Speciality" on Swap-Bot. It was sent to Lisa (lisajhoney). Made an extra set for my daughters to play with in their play kitchen.
Other felt food that is available can be found through the link on my Flickr profile.

This work is the twelfth in a series of "Remnants", which were all inspired by very old, heavily patched and stitched textiles, (such as certain types of boro and utilitarian quilts) and the old, worn and weathered rural structures that surround where I live, (and where straight lines cease to exist.)
Tiny cherry blossoms have been hand embroidered onto pale blue-green Ink & Spindle sustainable fabric to create this gorgeous necklace.
It has been long finished, but I have a helluva time getting a decent photo, the purple fabric doesn’t want to show as purple. The quilt is backed in the purple, but it was too bloody cold out today to turn it about and get another shot. One of these days, I’ll get proper shots of it, then it will go up for sale. 52″ x 50″, double layer of warm & natural cotton batting. Done completely by hand, sewing, embroidery and quilting.

First I made 'new' fabric using bits and pieces of cottons, silks and ribbons felted to a background of acrylic felt with the embellisher machine. Machine and hand stitched; hand embroidered with fibers and beads.
This was a test to see if I could make a crazy patchwork cushion from odds and ends of vintage hand embroidered fabrics.
It's not usually my style but I loved having a go.

These are some of the items I've been making for Christmas this year. Please see my Flickr profile for the link to my Etsy shop.
The stars are made from 100% wool felt. They have three layers of felt stars that are hand-embroidered onto one another using the blanketstitch. In the center is a button that matches that largest star color.
The stars are stuffed with wool from one of the sheep that I raised.
My cheque book cover which I embroidered after seeing a fireworks display from the top of a hill in the Lake District. The girls at the bank like to see it!
