This felt food meal was made for Jeannie (sewfun4u) for "Fake Food For Beginners ~ Your Speciality" on Swap-Bot. I made an extra set for my daughters since they like playing in their play kitchen with felt food I've made for them.

The meal includes:

- a pita sandwich with two pieces of lettuce, ham slice, egg slice, Swiss cheese, and tomato slice

- cracker medley (saltine cracker, two tortilla chips, and multi-grain puffs)

- trio of Valentine's Day theme cookies

- mint tea

Had a lot of fun making this meal. Used a combination of Japanese patterns as well as my own patterns.

Other felt food that is available can be found through the link on my Flickr profile.

This is a scalloped collar that I hand embroidered a beatrix potter bunny on. The dress also featured a smocked waist.

Another new headband design using felt...of course it's felt!! I decided to try something new..I've always loved to look at appliques and wanted to create a small scene using felt so..the entire felted medallion is only 2 3/4" round..The birdie and leaves were quite a challenge as they are only about the size of a pea..maybe even smaller...

I have this great recycled felt made form plastic bottles and some has great embossed detailing on it..hence the brown piece for the tree..if you look closely you can see the design..There are about 5-6 layers of felt used here and I hand embroidered some detailing around the grass and leaves.

A pink polka dotted felt was used as the background or the tree..making their own pink apples..I added some glass pink beads for dimension..Blanket stitching was done around the perimeters of the felt discs..all sewn onto a stretchy cotton pink headband..

We took Bailey to China Town for the CNY Parade and she found these hand embroidered Silk traditional shoes which are now her favorites. Cultural applications are important especially in little ways, so was glad to get an image I like of these and her sweet feet.

Here is a pretty detail shot. The leaves are actually part of the print of the fabric.

I designed the flowers and used fabric markers to draw their basic shapes.
