Good Lord...the year of the Tiger.....????

Think he blew that one in 2009, four sponsors down...

first billionaire sports superstar..my heart bleeds..ha.

"Breaking News" doesn't get any cheesier than that......

In the debris of the Joplin tornado. The little things just make your heart bleed.

...I have to let you die.

i have to let you fade.

so spare me the male accusations.

i would have told you those things you wanted to hear

and i would have cared

the way you thought no one ever would.

and now my heart bleeds cold.

i refuse to be caressed by stone.

i now live emotionless and free from your pain.

my heart bleeds the darkest blood.

my heart is cold as stone

a rock feels no pain

no laughter. no loving. no contact...

I was discussing recycling with Matt yesterday. I'm rather horrified how badly recycling has been organised in England and told my boy that it makes my heart bleed - I find it horrifying to put everything in the same bin, even food waste! Apparently there has been some improvement in the UK in the recent years, so maybe we'll get to recycle after all. I'd like that since I'm so used to it.

“Emotive Prints: Feeling Trapped and exploited” - Development page 2 (concepts) | 4 A3 sketchbook pages | 2024

I took the ideas from the thumbnails and focused on exploring them and seeing what I liked about each design to then edit the next one with what went well or what I thought might be an interesting element to add.

-Concept one-

Concept one involves the figure chained with their limbs tugged out into an x shape. The figure is forced to stand while their heart bleeds out onto the floor as the eyes gather to stare with the figure.

With the massive pool of blood on the floor it’s clear they have been there awhile but still they have not broken. With them staring forward it feels defiant challenging like they are daring them to keep going. The eyes gathering up during this defiance speaks of the ‘evil eye’ concept like the figure is cursing them.

-Concept two-

Concept two is the three headed wolves with three different emotions being displayed: frenzied, defensive and scared. The three wolves are pulled in different directions with one wanting to lash out, the next wanting to pick their battles to keep them safe while the last one doesn’t want to fight and can’t keep it together.

It represents to me the way of the abused. They want to fight back but are then made to back off after they are doused in more pain and try to preserve themselves by being agreeable till the strain of keeping that up gets too much and they completely breakdown.
