George Lucas's first attempt at making Han Solo look less cold blooded for killing greedo. The "Han and Greedo split a quattro formaggio at Mos Eisley Pizza Hut " scene only made it to the cutting room floor. The more believable "Greedo shooting and missing Han from point blank range" was eventually used in the revamped version.
Indicates all changes to the design, when compared to 75030 & 75193.

Both versions in one package.
A few days ago I decided to mod the Death Star Trench Run set. In doing so I created a micro Millennium Falcon which actually turned out to be a lot better and more robust than I thought it would.
So I decided to make instructions for this Falcon and upload them to my Rebrickable page. But… there are a lot of micro falcons on Rebrickable.. but, maybe not that many that let you build both versions in one set of instructions.
So that’s what I did. Both Falcons, original trilogy and Kessel run. Both available in one package now at:

Here’s a tiny scene, loosely inspired by the truly crap Battle on Takodana set 75139, but now very small and with vehicles! Kylo Ren’s Shuttle dominates the scene but I’ve also put together a First Order Transport, Resistance Troop Transport and a tiny battle between Finn, Han, Chewie and the Stormtroopers in the ruins, with Poe nailing TIEs above. For completeness I’ve also built a shrunken Maz Kanata’s Castle, before it got destroyed! Han, Peter & Mal, three brothers in arms... Inspired by my wife Xiahna Stark (she even came up with the saying that is now its title).
This comparison shot shows off the other major photograph I used to make this. Note the asymmetry in the holes on the front end - these would be spaced further apart (and made both smaller and symmetric) on later Falcons to accommodate the landing gear. But here, they almost looks like mistakes.
Edit: One of the panels on the gun turret is dark grey - As can clearly be seen, it should be dark red. That has been corrected.
Part 1 of a video I shot showing the details on my late 1970s era Star Wars Millennium Falcon plastic model kit that I made when I was a young boy 35+ years ago. This model and several others like it were stored in the attic at my parent's house in Nova Scotia. 2 weeks ago I was visiting and found them in the attic. This needs quite a bit of work. The transmitter dish on the top was broken off (I still have most of it), and the gun for the lower gun turret is detached. Also, the landing gear are missing, and the engine no longer lights up. I hope to eventually fix it up over the next next few months/years. Maybe involving some 3D scanning and printing to replace some of the parts, and some rewiring of the lighting.
This model comes from a time just after the initial success of Star Wars and (I think) before Empire Strikes Back was released. I remember going to the scale model section of the Towers Department store in New Minas and seeing this huge box with the Falcon in it (there was only one) on the shelf and looking at the gigantic price tag of something like $24 CDN at the time and wondering how would I ever pay for such a thing. Luckily, my parents bought it for me eventually, after I kept going back to the modelling section of the Toy Department each time we visited the store to make sure that the model was still there.
Engine lights test for late 1970s Millennium Falcon Star Wars model kit (35ish years old).
I assembled this kit when I was a kid.
It was in the attic in storage at my parent's place in Nova Scotia until recently. Today, I decided to get some fresh batteries and try lighting the engines. Shot this with my iPhone 6.

I’ve been messing around with my camera again, trying to find the right balance of shutter speed and ISO to get a crisp photo with a tiny aperture. The little stud-built figures are about double the size they should be, but I feel like I’ve hit the micro-scale limit! I’m thinking of adding these figures to all of my ‘bigger’ micro ships, price is an issue because of colour availability, I’ll keep working on that.
