Formerly a 19th Century Coaching house, this pub is on the road between Ditchling and Cooksbridge, and sits by the corner of the junction to Plumpton village.
Out of shot on the left is a path that takes you steeply up to the South Downs Way, and just beyond the pub is a footpath that takes you to the hamlet of Streat.
The village of Plumpton is home to Plumpton race course, as well as Plumpton College, which is about 200 yards further down this road.
Jimmy Page used to live in a house not far from this pub.

Previously unpublished shot from October 2015. Quite unusual to see half moon glasses and I just love the eye contact over the top of the rims. I'm off to pick up a pair of specs myself today, specific 'intermediate distance' ones solely for working at the PC. I have found my varifocal glasses to be a right royal pain in the derrière for photo editing! Enjoy!
Always amazes me when i see the moon out during the day, feel it shouldn't be there but then you see it and realize it was never gone just hidden by the sun. Taken awhile back in and really left this natural other then the border and text!
stay well

Underwater scene from Half Moon Cay seen on a cruise ship day trip to this little private island in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Half moon sneaks behind the electric tower, the tower itself with the cables like a music instrument, and moon is my best friend, accompany me quietly days and nights.
This photo is taken by chance when I ride the bicycle with a telephoto lens.

I spent a delightful Wednesday evening a few weeks ago photographing with my friend Red Stiletto (red stilletto) at Half Moon Bay in Black Rock. There we photographed treasures in the rock pools in the late afternoon light as we waited for sunset. Thank you for a lovely spur-of-the-moment outing Red Stiletto! I had a great time in the magical light!
This year the FFF+ Group have decided to have a monthly challenge called “Snap Happy”. A different theme, or a selection of themes to choose from or combine is provided on the 5th of every month, and the image is to be posted on the 5th of the following month.
The themes for February are “water”, “all creatures great and small” and “the colour orange”.
Although not planned with “Snap Happy” in mind, the outing that we had produced a couple of photos that I thought perfect for the theme of “the colour orange” and “water”. This is my favourite as the dying rays of the sun sinking beneath the waves flood the sky with orange and highlight the clouds with orange highlights. I hope you like it!
Half Moon Bay is a beautiful beach located in the Melbourne suburb of Black Rock, about twenty-two kilometers south-east of Mebourne\'s centre.
In the bay the iconic shipwreck of the HMVS Cerberus sits just above the waterline. A naval vessel that predates Australian Federation in 1901, this ship is both living history and testament to Australia\'s maritime tradition.
Since its decommissioning shortly after the Great War, the HMVS Cerberus has served as a breakwater.
In addition to the bay and the HMVS Cerberus, there are also the wonderful sandstone cliffs of Red Bluff. Viewed at sunset their many colours are on full show and you could be forgiven for thinking momentarily that you were in Utah.

Awesome concert of this great Canadian indie/alternative rock band last night. They like their light quite dim, so it was a challenge to get a few shots. The crowd did not help. Oh well, I did my best. After all, I was there for the show, and I really enjoyed it too.
Half Moon Run - Turn Your Love
It was a typical day at Half Moon Bay, windy and cool with a persistent marine layer lying just off the coast. I was a little surprised to see this fence leaning into the wind. I would have expected it to lean the other way as the winds off the ocean here can be quite fierce. I always respect the nonconformists.
Happy Fence Friday everyone.
