This is the tobacco shop of Chester Field, the little neighbor to Miss Clementine's Green Grocer.

It sells tobacco products, newspapers and magazines and some office supplies. And there's a gumballmachine outside.

At the back, one of Chester Field's trusted suppliers; Ziggy Rett, is about to unload a boatload of new merchandise straight into the cellar of the shop.

A school of gumball machines at the Lake Forest Park Commons.

Zeiss Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 ZM + Fujifilm X-Pro2.

This is one of those cards they put inside the glass on a gum ball machine to let you know what's inside.

As I made this shot I rememberd the days my youth. The anticipation when I put 10 cents (well it had been "Pfennige" in germany) into a gumball machine and the sweet taste of cheap bubblegum.

Part of the series Gumball machines

This was used behind the glass on a gumball machine to tell you whats inside.

as with most photographs, bigger is better.

These are just random pieces I have from this set. I don't know if I bought the sets & got rid of the other pieces, or I just bought these pieces.

Edited: Replaced the photo with one with more pieces

This guy is off to London with the cotton candies to take part in the exhibition "candy coated canvas" at the London Miles Gallery. There are 70 gumballs each one stitched by hand...phew!!

I was passing by this brightly lit kitchen window at street level, and the woman's husband was conveniently out getting ready to go off on his motorbike. I asked permission and he nodded to his wife; this is the second of only two shots I quickly fired off, they were clearly on schedules. Thanks, Helen and John for letting me post these photos.

Congratulations President Barack Obama!

This is your day. Please help our nation invest in what matters in the world: people, our economy and jobs, and the natural environment, and put an end to Washington's "Gumball Machine Politics."

View in large size to see the names on the gumballs! LOL

Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat 01/12/2020 12h53

Frankey Street Art is giving the city little often unremarkable surprises. Every week a photo with one of his recent works appears in the supplement to the newspaper Het Parool. A great opportunity to take a closer look at his work. Sometimes you have to search to find it and sometimes it is already gone.

An electricity box transformed into a gumball machine. It was of the last projects of Frankey of 2019 but never thought it was still there. But it's still in the street but partially damaged.

Street Art Frankey

Street Art Frankey (pseudonym of Frank de Ruwe) is a Dutch artist who wants to positively influence the street scene with relatively small and often inconspicuous works of art.

He grew up in Nijmegen, father was an inventor at Philips Netherlands. He studied at Delft University of Technology (Industrial design). In daily life director of and working for design collective Natwerk. In Amsterdam, many of his works in the street art category can be found on buildings, streets and bridges, often in addition to existing building elements. He himself about his work;

"I want to push boundaries. Art has no boundaries, that's why I like it so much."

In 2019, a special page has been dedicated to his art in Het Parool for a number of years; first he took care of that section himself, later he had to leave that work to others because of busy work. A little later his work Eberhard van der Laan appeared above the entrance of Paradiso.

One of the works that inspired him is the Boomzagertje in the Leidsebosje, a work by an as yet unknown artist.

Anyone want to go shooting between now and the 18th.. let me know :)

Gumball machine found @ local East Villiage flea market. After a trip to Canal Plastics (best place in NYC for any random plastic needs) with specific measurements for round disc to cover mechanisms, as well as some silicone, this lovely fishtank was born...
