agh the ice cream melted really quickly even if the aircon was on already...hence the ugly pics. i really need to get a good ice cream scoop...

If you try to make a green tea swiss roll and the cake crumbles up, just layer it in fancy little bowls and call it a parfait. And next time use a smaller pan.

To pour the tea from gaiwan, take it in your hand and put the thumb ever the lid. Now shift the lid slightly to the side, leaving only a small slit. Now tilt the cup carefully and pour the tea into a pitcher through metal strainer. More at Daoli blog.

My first time using matcha tea. I assumed you just mix it with hot water but it doesn't really dissolve really well, but it did taste good.

Semi homemade

 

Cake: white cake mix + matcha green tea powder

 

Frosting: powdered sugar, condensed milk, butter, matcha green tea powder, dash of Myer lemon

Baked by my best friend Harriet, it's sooooooo yummy!
