This kind of Tortoise calls: Rùa Kim Tiền, Kim Tiền Quy, Cuora trifasciata, Three-lined box turtle, or Golden coin turtle.
The three-striped box turtle has a fairly small range through northern Vietnam. It lives in clear mountain streams and other sub-tropical to temperate, aquatic situations.
There is a lot of magic story about eating this kind of Turtle for magic cure. Consequense is it is a rare species now in Vietnam. Mostly, the hunter will export it to China where they make it become magic jelly. (I really doubt these "magic" words.)
This species needed to be protected by animal lovers.

This shot was taken in my kitchen cooktop with the rangehood light on above and a small sequin purse used as the backdrop to create the background. I also pointed a LED torch through some thin red plastic to give the buddha some additional color.

A drawer pull on a small table that my grandfather built several years ago. It's probably my favorite thing in my home.
Let's go, there is no vehicles.
When I came closer to these 3 gooses, they just came right to this side from the other side of the street where their home located. Suddenly, a small female goose which looked alike the goose in the middle appeared and started to shout out loud. These 3 gooses had a tense conversation with many voices. Then the small female goose raised her voice again, these gooses started a line to get back to the old side of the street. And they kept talking to each others when they walked home.
I get to know that grooses is smart just like dog, they can recognize the stranger and can even attack them if they find it dangerous. However, the way they communicated to each other and obeyed the order from their mom (maybe) was genius.
P/s: They did not care about my presence at all :).

She just gave birth to 2 adorable kittens a couple days ago for the very first time. She looked nice and quite worried about the stranger who was taking her babies picture.

Every morning in Srah Srang Lake, the local dogs will come to wait for the food from travelers who get up early to see the sunrises with their breakfast packed. Almost the dogs in this area were weak, thin, and hunger, so did this dog. However, she was calm and nicely laying down and waving her tale to the travelers to make friend. She liked me to take pictures of her. :)
