I had a whole two-day solo trip in mind today but compromised on time and chose a couple places I'd never been before, as far as I am aware.
So today, I visited Lehigh Gorge State Park and Buttermilk Falls but I must say that as nice as Buttermilk was, and I will probably post one or two pics of those falls as well, the minor falls on Buck Mountain Creek that parallels the road down to the Lehigh River were much more attractive to me.
There's more color on them, you can get closer, there's many more smaller falls you can shoot from a variety of different angles, and nobody was here to shoot these.
All in all, it was a good trip. Traveling through these historic train and coal towns and regions is always a good time, like driving in a time machine.

Waterfall at our beautiful Hubbard Park, Meriden CT. We are famous for our daffodils and the Daffodil Festival held every Spring🌼🐢🌷☀️!
Before highways and railways, before pioneers....the land we know as the United States was truly a vast wilderness. To protect these last remaining areas, in 1984 Congress created the Paria Canyon - Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. Coyote Buttes' outstanding scenery, desert wildlife, colorful history, and opportunities for primitive recreation will remain free from the influence of man and are protected in this condition for future generations. Its 112,500 acres beckon adventurers who yearn for solitude, scenic splendor, and the chance to explore one of the most beautiful geologic formations in the world.
A permit is required to visit Coyote Buttes. Due to overwhelming demand, Coyote Buttes North ("The Wave") permits are available through a lottery. For additional information visit www.blm.gov/programs/recreation/permits-and-passes/lotter....

With its 70 million acres of BLM land, Alaska represents
an immense outdoor classroom full of opportunities for
people to play, learn, serve, and work on public lands. Last
year, thanks to the BLM and its partners, the public viewed
Iditarod mushers whooshing through the trails of Campbell
Tract in Anchorage. They experienced the beautiful artwork
of BLM’s Artist-in-Residence, who captured images of the
wilderness while spending 2 weeks in a winter cabin. And
they discovered the unique interpretive programs and
learned vital safety information at the Arctic Interagency
Visitor Center on the Dalton Highway.
The Sonoran Desert National Monument contains magnificent examples of untrammeled Sonoran Desert landscape. This National Monument is the most biologically diverse of the North American deserts, and the monument captures a significant portion of that diversity. The most striking aspect of the plant community within the monument is the extensive saguaro cactus forest. The monument contains three distinct mountain ranges, the Maricopa, Sand Tank and Table Top Mountains, as well as the Booth and White Hills, all separated by wide valleys. The monument also contains three Congressionally designated wilderness areas and many significant archaeological and historic sites, and remnants of several important historic trails.
Visits to the Sand Tank Mountains, located south of Interstate 8, requires a Barry M Goldwater Range permit. The permit is free, but requires the recipient to watch a 13 minute safety video. Permits are valid for one year, from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. Permits can be obtained in person at BLM's Arizona State Office and Lower Sonoran Field Office.
