... the Geiger counter was beeping like crazy with a simple message - get out of here.

----

On 26 April 1986 01:23:45 a.m. (UTC+3) reactor number four at the Chernobyl plant, near Pripyat in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, exploded. Further explosions and the resulting fire sent a plume of highly radioactive fallout into the atmosphere and over an extensive geographical area. Four hundred times more fallout was released than had been by the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

Geiger-Mueller tubes are in short supply... Glad we have these.

Geiger Cars Hummer H2 Kompressor "Latte Macchiatto" - obviously one of the most superfluous cars on this planet.

But: without cars like this one the IAA would be a very boring exhibition!

Oh, by the way: the correct spelling is "Macchiato" and not "Macchiatto"...but maybe a superfluous car needs a superfluous letter...

This is old Terra geiger counter (Dosimeter). Scale is measured by microroentgens.0,7 microR/h is level of radioactivity in London.. so here is just 36 times more (Am i correct?)...

In one place or Pripyat's area, i have found level of 6498 microR.. so it's 928 times more than radioactivity level on Heathrow airport in London.

This geiger counter has been killed by that, but new one has measured above level of radioactivity (if i have read correctly scale in geiger counter)

www.scarpeuomodonna.com/scarpe-uomo/kurt-geiger-e-la-sua-...

My Radiation Alert Inspector Geiger Counter-

The 1973 album "Brain Salad Surgery" may best be known for it's unique artwork by the visionary futuristic surrealist Swiss artist Hans Rudolf Giger, known simply as H.R. Geiger.

Geiger, who died yesterday, 12 May 2014, aged 74, described his work as "biomechanical," was also influential in the motion picture Alien. As part of the design team, he won an Academy Award for Best Achievement for Visual Effects for the work. Last year, he, along with musician David Bowie, late authors J.R.R. Tolkein, Judith Merril and Joanna Russ was inducted into the "Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame."

The Emerson, Lake & Palmer trio album "Brain Salad Surgery" was preeminent among the quintessential progressive rock albums made during the '70's, and is considered among - if not their best work.

The Center for American Progress and the Alzheimer's Association invite you to attend a forum on the impact Alzheimer's has on families, the economy, caregivers, and especially women. The panel coincides with the Alzheimer's Association and First Lady of California Maria Shriver's October 15 release of The Shriver Report: A Woman's Nation Takes on Alzheimer's, the largest study ever conducted to look at the effect of Alzheimer's disease on American women as people with the disease, caregivers, and breadwinners.

Teddy Geiger at the Webster Underground

My trusty CDV-700. It's a little bit scratched but works fine. On the side is a little LM386 amplifier in a box to make the clicks audible.

I plan on modifying the speaker and probe connections to make connecting amplifiers/scalers and other probes easier.

Capable of gravity-fuckery.

I have been a fan of Teddy Geiger since middle school and have been to his concerts/met him a few times already but a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to photograph his concert right next to him on stage! I also got to take some pictures backstage before and after the show as well! I can definitely say I was ecstatic the whole entire time!

See all the images from the concert on my Facebook!
