Scintillation probe with double scintillator to give sensitivity to alpha, beta, and gamma radiation.
(Advatages of a scintillator probe include that they can be orders of magnitude more sensitive than a geiger probe (though this one is about double for gamma), and because the pulse height correlates to the energy of the detected particle or photon, they can be used for spectrographic fingerprinting of isotopes).
Scint probes are great DIY projects because they involve a bit of everything - electronics, high voltage, optics, chemisty, craftsmanship, etc.

Again Winkreative worked on branding with the fashion label Kurt Geiger.
The luxury footwear brand wanted a complete brand trandfomation for their corporate identity for it's high profile re-launch.
A discreet logo was designed and monogram and then applied to every aspect of the business, including signage, packaging, boxes and stationary.
I continued on my goal of completing an end-to-end hike of the FLT. I started my trek in 2010 and hike about once per month between March and October. All of my hikes are "out-and-back" hikes so I am actually doing the FLT e2e twice. I typically hike 20+ miles each hike and it takes me anywhere from 8 - 10+ hours; an all day hike. I started keeping a blog of my hikes to share my adventures and the photos I take along the way. You can read more and see the photos at scottgeiger.com.
Post-cold war (early '90s) Russian geiger counter. Basic but very sensitive. It ticks, and the red light means danger...
A 54-piece creature MOC I built with my twin brother Lyichir. I suppose that given its color scheme it could be part of the Piece Out Collab, though it might be a bit late for that.
