Arya bit her lip. She did not know what she wanted. If I leave, where will I go? She had washed and stripped a hundred corpses, dead things did not frighten her. They carry them down here and slice their faces off, so what? She was the night wolf, no scraps of skin could frighten her. Leather hoods, that’s all they are, they cannot hurt me. “Do it,” she blurted out.

The next thing I focused on was figuring out how I was going to do the metalwork belt and shoulder pieces.
I looked around online and found other people making these pieces using a vareity of techniques. Most popular was drawing the design with hot glue. But I didn't like that idea, as the glue could warm from body heat and distort out of shape. Another person used Worbla (or maybe it was Wonderflex - I don't recall.) But it's pricey, and I wasn't quite ready to take the plunge. One person even used a thin sheet of actual metal cut with a laser cutter - Not something I have access to.
Thinking about what I could afford, and was confident working with, I decided to give craft foam a try. But this was definitely a case for doing samples before beginning to work on the final pieces. So the first thing I did was create a template for my samples out of a piece of scrap chipboard. When drawing the irregular shapes that make up the design, I used a reference photo of giraffe spots as a guide.
