Futurama was the General Motors-sponsored exhibit and ride at the 1939-40 New York World's Fair, and it was updated for the 1964-65 Fair as Futurama II, a "ride into tomorrow" imagining life in the year 2024. Fair-goers rode on a "conveyorized lounge-chair train" through animated dioramas showing life on the moon, the "Hotel Atlantis" undersea resort, the "City of Tomorrow," and other visions of the possible future. Like its predecessor, Futurama was the most popular exhibit at the Fair, with waiting lines often more than two hours long. A daily average of 80,000 visitors saw the exhibit, totaling over 29 million for the two six-month periods the fair was open - 750,000 in the Fair's last week alone.
This is a promotional brochure that was distributed in 1963 to stimulate interest in the exhibit. Featuring illustrations of the designers' concepts for the exhibit (no photographs - Futurama wasn't finished yet!), it also highlights other planned attractions at the Fair, as well as the myriad of things to do in NYC, and offers some suggestions for making the visit (by automobile, of course) enjoyable and safe, like having your car serviced in advance and driving carefully.
Size is 5.25"x8.25", 32 pgs. It is in very good condition, with no tears, writing, or other marks - the cover is a little worn, with some light staining on the back, but the interior is nearly perfect.
Bender is one of my favorites (other than the Professor but they don't make him...). These guys sit on the monitor on the desk. I probably knock them over every time I'm on the computer! Probably not going to collect any more of these little guys but they are pretty cute, plus these are the only characters I'd want in the set....
A pair of cards on yet another of the flat's TV favourites.

The Alienese version of Futurama broadcasts after "All My Circuits" and "The Scary Door". Broadcasts everyday except for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
This is a map of the New York City area showing the "Most Direct Routes to the New York World's Fair", with a second map on the back showing Manhattan and the location of the World's Fair exhibition itself. The map was distributed by General Motors to promote its "Futurama" exhibit, which like its 1939-1940 predecessor became the most popular exhibit of the entire event, drawing more than 29 million visitors over the course of the Fair. The back panel lists and gives details on 63 attractions in New York, which are identified by numbers on the map.
Folded, the map measures 5"x8", and unfolds to 10"x16". It is in amazing condition, having been tucked inside a GM Futurama brochure (also listed here) - it appears to be unused, and the only condition issue is a diagonal crease across the bottom right corner of the front.
According to the cartoon show "Futurama", Brown University is where the disgusting, despicable mutant beings go to be educated for their menial jobs. Brown University "is the premiere institution of lower learning in the New New York Sewers".
Futurama, of course, is mostly written by Harvard alums. This is from the Season Six episode aired 9/2/10, "The Mutants are Revolting".
Anillo con base regulable color bronce antiguo y pieza de arcilla polimérica acabada en resina cuyo diámetro es 25mm.
Ring with base adjustable of antique bronze finish and polymer clay and resin.
The polymer clay piece has a diameter of 25 mm.
The good old Hypnotoad from Futurama. I kind of want to record the sound he makes and play it behind it.
This whimsical necklace is hand-crafted from .047 aluminum wire woven in the classic Byzantine pattern. Each ring is coiled, cut, and woven by hand, with an internal diameter of 4mm. The necklace measures 18.5 inches overall, terminating in a sturdy magnetic clasp.
The cute robot pendant dangles from a strong central ring of stainless steel.
