Shot from the tower of the New York State Pavilion(still standing in 2008),facing southwest. Shot on Kodachrome-X with an Instamatic 100 camera diagonally to fit the whole length of the building in the frame, then remounted in a 35mm slide frame. I did not have a 35mm camera that day.

The neighborhood behind the Fair is called Corona, Queens.Corona was the neighborhood of musician Louis Armstrong and his wife. Their home is now a museum about their lives.
The Grand Central Parkway is at the bottom going north/south,the Long Island Expressway is at the top left heading west.
I don't get too excited about TV these days, but new episodes of Futurama is something I've been hoping for since I got hooked on the show a few years ago.
Double chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, covered in marshmallow fondant. I used two 6" rounds topped with a half ball (from the Wilton ball pan kit). The eyes were mini-muffins, trimmed to size. Fondant tentacles.
