remember someone

you never met.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.

I love these little flowers brightening up the grass verges and corners of our garden at the moment - I think the tiny, furry purple buds are almost as pretty as the flowers :)

Move on...Forget the Wrongs...

Προχώρα...Ξέχασε τις Αδικίες...

Forget the heat,

forget the palm trees,

forget the beaches,

forget the souks,

forget the couscous,

forget the architecture,

forget Marrakech,

we're on our way to the summit of Dejebel Toubkal, highest mountain in Morocco.

Savannah's best kept secret.

In a legend, God named all the plants but when a tiny unnamed one cried out, "Forget-me-not, O Lord!" God replied, "That shall be your name."

Another legend tells when the Creator thought he had finished giving the flowers their colours, he heard one whisper "Forget me not!" There was nothing left but a very small amount of blue, but the forget-me-not was delighted to wear such a light blue shade.

Whatever the source of it's name it's a lovely welcome to Spring.

“Forget safety.

Live where you fear to live.

Destroy your reputation.

Be notorious.”

― Rumi

“Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.” - Khalil Gibran

Thank you, dear friends, for visits, faves and comments!

I went along at 11 this morning, but didn't feel comfortable taking any shots, so I went back later in the afternoon to get this one.

Will be back shortly to check your streams.

I'm such a bad contact, really. I haven't uploaded for weeks, months or whatever. I don't really want to say that I'm back now but I will upload again because I sort of missed Flickr. Nevertheless I won't be that active again as in the past. I'm somehow struggling with life. I'm finish with school, I don't know what to do and where my talents are. I would love to write for a newspaper but realizing that I'm not good enough is more than hard.

Furthermore my family is battling with sicknesses. My mom might have cancer and I just don't want this to happen. I want to make her proud. I want her to be old and seeing me growing up. Sorry for writing all that but that somehow depresses me.

I'm not the person I have been in the past anymore. I'm stronger now, more grown up and a lover of life. I had beautiful days with my friends during the last weeks and I don't know but maybe I will find my strength someday again...

"Ah Juliet, when we made love you used to cry

You said I love you like the stars above, I'll love you till I die

There's a place for us, you know the movie song

When you gonna realize, it was just that the time was wrong, Juliet?..."

Did a bit of fresh processing on this image - used a light vignette in PSP and added a white pin-line border with my ON1 software.
