The back of the home now features a Juliet balcony at the parents’ room and several windows at the family room. The round window above the balcony doors mimics the new entry canopy and parents’ room ceiling within. The round lattice at the right is original to the home, having been saved and relocated as part of the work. The new basement has large windows with new window wells seen at the base of the home.

The aqua flowers look nice in the sunlight. Have sprinkled frit around the centre of the aqua halfgems.
The images above are of the former Presbyterian Church of Wales, which is located at Heathfield Road/Smithdown Place (depending on who you ask). I'd heard rumours that the building was going to undergo some sort of modification so when I wandered past a few weekends ago and noticed that a hole had been knocked in the middle of the building, I assumed that the process of modifying/dividing/modernising the building had begun (the first three images are from that stage).
I drove past on my way home from town yesterday and the whole church is more or less gone (remaining images). After a bit of digging, I found out that the majority of the church is being demolished to make way for a new, much smaller chapel.
Apparently an attempt was made to get the building listed but it failed due to a lack of architectural or historical significance (the building was 84 years old). It seems a tremendous shame to demolish such a beautiful building, even if it did need work to bring it up to modern standards.
EDIT: I think I'm also annoyed with myself as it's a building I've always meant to get round to spending some time taking photos of, as it's on my doorstep and now the opportunity is gone forever. Some sort of lesson to be learnt there.
A dear fried of ours gave me this corkboard plain which I loves but decided to give it a facelift, I painted the frame in a chili pepper red Krylon Hobby and Craft Enamel I got from the hardware store and used this fabric I had bought to make a kindle book cover that I found a different fabric I wanted to use. My hubby helped me take it apart and I wrapped teh cork in the fabric and used a staple gun to hold it and then my hubby reassembled it.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this turned out and it adds a pop of color to my wall instead of blending in

Last of the sunshine trickles through a smashed window....
