This old house was recently bought by some friends of mine and they are fixing it up to live in. Can't wait to see what it's going to look like when it's finish.

This beautiful Arts and Crafts style villa built in a quiet, tree lined street in the Melbourne suburb of Travancore received a facelift in the 1920s.
Built between Federation (1901) and the Great War (1914), the hip roof of terracotta roof tiles is very Arts and Crafts inspired, as is the overall design with a central porch with a door to one side flanked by large windows. Yet somewhere in the 1920s, the facade of the house was updated to the prevailing style of the time; Spanish Mission, giving it a more hacienda style with three wonderful arches of stuccoed brick supported by barley twist columns. The windows were updated as well, with the original bay windows being replaced by flat ones with decorative boiseries and stylised sunray designs over them and window boxes beneath them. In spite of this amalgum of two very different styles, the house is quite charming, and its combination makes it more unique than its neighbours.
The Arts and Crafts style was most popular in the years just before and after Australian Federation, whilst the Spanish Mission style was typically a style that emerged in California during the interwar years and spread across the world.
Travancore is a bijou suburb named after a beautiful Victorian mansion erected in 1863. The mansion's grounds were subdivided in the late 1890s to form the new suburb, which consists only of only about five streets. With commanding views of Royal Park, the area was much sought after by aspiring middle and upper middle-class citizens. This spacious stand alone double brick residence would have been acquired by the latter of these groups. Houses like these would have suited a medium sized Edwardian family, and would have required a small retinue of servants to maintain.
The whole house, which has a large street frontage, is surrounded by a well established garden, including a splendid hedge and several well established birch trees.

The Rover 75 was announced by Managing Director Spencer Wilks on 23 September 1949 the new Rover 75, now the only Rover in production, was first displayed at the opening day of the Earls Court Motor Show on 28 September 1949. With much more modern lines, based on the styling of the 1947 Studebaker, and a centrally mounted spotlight, earning the car the nickname of Cyclops, which was discontinued from 1952 The 75 was powered by a 2103cc with chromium plated cylinder bores, an aluminium cylinder head with built-in induction manifold and a pair of horizontal instead of downdraught carburetters. A four-speed manual transmission was used with a column-mounted gear lever which was replaced by a floor mounted gearchange from 1953. the shape of the gear lever still allowed for three people to share the front bench seat and parking lights were mounted on top of the front wings.
The 75 for the 1955 model year,came with a wrap around three piece rear window and a redesigned body with a a more squared tail and a raised front wing line and wing mounted side lamps from 1957.Bucket seats from 1956 and two tone colours available from 1958 Powered by a new short stroke, higher revving engine of 2230cc.

We just gave the SeaDek Super Air Nautique 230 a facelift in preparation for putting her on the market. This is a great example of the kind of change that can be achieved with SeaDek. Looks like an entirely different boat when compare to the blue over gray kit it is replacing.

Third Generation (1971-1974)
A new design was introduced for the 1971 model year. The Satellite adopted new "fuselage" styling - in line with the facelifts on the larger Chrysler C-Body models - on the two-door, four-door, and wagon models. Unlike previous years, 4-door sedans and 2-door coupes did not share sheet metal and each carried unique styling. Sedans were available in base, Custom, and Brougham trim, while two-doors were available in base trim (with rear windows that did not roll down), Sebring trim, and Sebring Plus trim. Station wagons were available in base, Custom, or wood-trimmed Regent models. Two-door models had a loop-type front bumper, and this body was the basis for the related GTX and Roadrunner models.
For the 1973 model year, the two-door models - including the Sebring - received more conventional front end and squared up sheet metal and rear side windows
Safety requirements for the 1974 model year included 5 mph (8.0 km/h) bumpers for the sedans and wagons. The Satellite name was dropped after 1974, after which Plymouth's intermediate offerings on the B-body chassis took the Plymouth Fury name. The Satellite Sebring was replaced by the Chrysler Cordoba (a car which was originally intended to be called Plymouth Sebring) and shared an all new body with the Dodge Charger.

The satellite was available with a 3.7 L (225 CID) Slat six, and a large variety of V8 engines of 4.5 L (273 CID), 5.2 L (318 CID), 5.6 L (340 CID), 5.9 L (360 CID), 6.3 L (383 CID) and 7.0 L (426 CID).
The tradition continues, only now with proper 3D texturing and now rendering it, hence the beautiful shadows from the artificial sunlight.
Inspired by Koenigsegg's Regera, the powertrain of this lunacy is:
A 3-cylinder camless engine at 157hp, with a ZF Ecolife 6-speed.
A battery and supercapacitor, tailored to a motor rated at 200hp.
The top pack contains a wind turbine which isn't yet tested for safety reasons, and is also due a solar panel, also not yet tested.
