So, I was just strolling through what I thought was just another Tuesday in Victoria, BC, minding my own business near the Inner Harbour, when BAM! This guy shows up. Turns out it wasn't a rogue Ice Age beast looking for the nearest Tim Hortons, but the incredibly lifelike, awe-inspiring mammoth exhibit at the Royal BC Museum. Seriously, they did such a fantastic job, for a split second I thought I needed to find some high ground. Look at the detail on the fur, the sheer scale of those tusks! The lighting makes it look like he's about to stomp off into a dramatic prehistoric sunset, not just stand there looking magnificent. It's a powerful reminder of the giants that once roamed this land (albeit, maybe not *exactly* this spot quite so recently). Definitely worth dodging potential extinction for a closer look.
