We checked “Aurora” app, there was a chance to see Northern Lights at Uttakleiv Beach. We went in the afternoon, just a reminder: you had to pay the parking, there was a camera at the gate to record car plate photos. Flew drone a little bit, took the sunset photos, then waited for the northern lights…

We could not express our feeling when we saw the northern lights dancing on the sky, not so many people waited at night, but we could hear the “WOOOW!!!” The northern lights changed shapes quickly… Here you are!

We stayed for 9-10 hours that night, from 3pm to 1am, wore two down jackets, one down pants, so worth it!

Later we talked to the local people about it, they said we were lucky to see Northern Light!!! Not all the people are so lucky, due to thick clouds blocking the sky, you could not see it even KP index are strong...

Once,

somebody asked, why photographer loves to take the picture of old, random, abandoned things?

Why?

Those things may aged, damaged, unused, however, they also owned "ever been".

There are people, affair, and life in the "ever been"

A memory couldn't be erase.

There' s a beauty inside.

It's usually depressed people while seeing these things fade in the time.

However, life won't be a one way.

We always encounter another new life at that time.

And there is hope inside.

Love the moment, old v.s. new.

In advance

Thank you all for likes, comments for compliments

I really enjoy this view - in all ways 😄

This is Haukelifjell, mountain tops you see here are around 1500 meters above sealevel.

There is a cabin on the over side of the lake, it seems quite tiny from here.

It is stunning - I think 😍

Better view

I had to crop the original to get a better view ...my first bee in flight shot with my Tamron lens.

Vincent came up from down south for a week on his fancy Honda!

As part of that we are doing a two day ride to the Lake District, to 'do' the passes and then back via North Yorkshire Moors and the Tan Hill Inn..

Little did we know that this was our last ride out together!

Few months later Vincent died from a fast growing inoperable brain tumour.. 😢

Shot in the summer of 2021 with Christine during a much warmer day than we have had recently.

I did this for Smile on Saturday: A touch of frost, but now I see it isn't what the theme really had in mind, so...just a general post!

Opening the freezer door (or having a poorly sealed door) lets in warm air, and as it cools, it condenses on the food inside, forming frost. Or, the moisture in the food is drawn out and condenses/freezes back onto its surface. I don't know, but either way, the peas are frosty.j

You might wonder why there is so many pictures of that bald guy today in the Interestingness. This is an initiative of the flickr@paris group : getting as many photos of the same item in Explore on the day as possible. The item being their beloved and megalomaniac leader : philippe leroyer (who actually wrote this little text). If you want to participate in that initiative, just comment and fave this picture (and the other ones that you'll find). Let's see how far we can go here !
