Pictures from a couple of days that I spent taking pictures at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas Nevada. The Red Flag 21-1 exercises were underway.

I managed to catch a shot of the gymnasts doing physical therapy for their shoulders. Beth is using the Theraband for shoulder exercises while Rebecca is getting her shoulder stretched by the Physical Therapist.
I can't take credit for the title. One of my PT's told me that he used to have one of those construction signs that says "Shoulder Work Ahead" in his PT Office :-)
This helicopter appeared to be on some kind of exercise. Nice day for it :-)

Performance 'The title is a drawing. The drawing is an undefined network.' By Clara Saito - clarasaito.wordpress.com.
I shot this montage video a few minutes before the artists were actually arrested by the police. I wanted to show both the tensed atmosphere of police and bystanders that day as opposed to the freedom expressed by Clara Saito.

Looks to me like this Black-necked Stilt is going for the Warrior III position. The reflections were fabulous this early October morning.
One day I had nothing special to do so I decided to practice my makeup skills, mainly with new grey eyeshadows. I was quite happy about the results so I took few photos. This is one of them.

Jogging or cardio workouts can help burn the unwanted calories to get you fit and in shape. Along with the workouts it is also equally important that you choose the right time of the day for these exercises. Studies have proved that there is a stronger bond between oxygen and hemoglobin which...

Exercise Cobra Warrior - on Tuesday 21st March 2023, at the beginning of the third week of exercises, I made another visit to catch some of the aircraft taking part in the exercise. I was fortunate to see four of the Finnish Air Force F-18s go up again, and film their return, but missed the 'exotic' Indian Air Force Mirage 2000s.
Here is a video still showing Raytheon Sentinel R.1 N690BD (ex ZJ690) - the last of five Sentinels that had operated from RAF Waddington from 2008 up until March 2021. She departed at 12.05 heading for the USA.
The Raytheon Sentinel is an airborne battlefield and ground surveillance aircraft formerly operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF). While based on the Bombardier Global Express ultra long-range business jet, the prime contractor for the Sentinel was the American defence firm Raytheon, which supplied most of the mission systems and performed the integration work. Originally known as the ASTOR (Airborne STand-Off Radar) programme, procurement of the type started during 1999.
Five aircraft were delivered in 2003-04 - these being ZJ690-694, and were operated by 5 (AC) Sq. based at RAF Waddington, alongside the five-strong fleet of Boeing E-3D Sentry (AWACS) aircraft. In 2010, the British government's Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR) announced its intention to "withdraw the Sentinel airborne ground surveillance aircraft once it is no longer required to support operations in Afghanistan." The 2010 decision was reversed in 2014 by Prime Minister David Cameron and in the 2015 SDSR, the British government announced that the type's retirement would be delayed and that it would remain in service "into the next decade". However, due to the repeated equivocations over its future, the Sentinel did not receive upgrades during its service life, and the type was retired in March 2021. All five aircraft were sold to the USA to be converted to standard biz jets. More on the Raytheon Sentinels here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raytheon_Sentinel

Low-res shot taken with an iPhone 6s iPhone photography - apologies for the poor quality of some of these phone photos - sometimes they're nice and sharp - sometimes they're all pixelated and not up to my usual standard. The videos are better :)
