This dealer opened in 2018; it was originally a KFC, which was built and opened in 1984. It later became a Zoots Dry Cleaning, which closed in 2017.

Instead of coming in a "Pringles" can it came in a "Chex" bag. Funny. It contained:
2 audio CDs titled "Some Good Jazz"
3 rolls of 3200 speed professional black and white film
1 cute penguin stuffed animal
1 card
1 previously mentioned "Chex" bag (free of Chex odour)
The bride and groom exchange flower garlands (Varmala) to symbolize acceptance, welcome and their love. Here, the groom playfully leaned back to make it harder for Reena to place (as you can see, he is much taller than her). Her sister was there to offer a helping hand, or a lift, if needed!

Hastings manual telephone exchange the evening before it closed on April 24th 1974 to give Hastings a dialling service. It was the largest manual left in Britain. A Swedish Crossbar exchange took over.

The Royal Exchange in London was founded in the 16th century by the merchant Thomas Gresham to act as a centre of commerce for the City of London.
It has twice been destroyed by fire and subsequently rebuilt. The present building was designed by William Tite in the 1840s. The site was notably occupied by the Lloyd's insurance market for nearly 150 years. Today the Royal Exchange contains offices, luxury shops and restaurants.

In the late 1940s after World War II as hundreds and thousands of U.S. troops and their families moved to Germany to help the country rebuild, dozens of military installations popped up on which they were based. Each installation, such as the U.S. Army Garrison at Stuttgart, had an exchange.
The installations also served as Cold War deterrents to Soviet aggression. For example, food trucks from the Berlin Exchange would deliver sandwiches and drinks to the tarmacs for American pilots participating in the Berlin Airlift of 1948-49.
As the Soviet Union crumbled in the late 1980s and early 1990s, many of the U.S. installations closed.
Today, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service still operates stores at Stuttgart, Ansbach, Ramstein AB and other major installations in Germany.

Corn exchange, now shopping precinct. 1861-63. By Cuthbert Brodrick, converted 1989-90. Rough rock, millstone grit, diamond rustication, grey slate dome, multi-flue stacks ranged around building to rear of parapet, iron cresting to oval dome with glazing on north side. Oval on plan, 2 storeys over basement. Closely-spaced round-arched windows in double recesses to both storeys, plate-glass sashes. 3 entrances: 2 large single-storey semicircular arcaded porches with attached Tuscan columns supporting cornice, these facing Duncan Street and New Market Street/Kirkgate; 3 semicircular steps to entrance facing Crown Street. Heavy moulded sill and string courses, bucranium frieze, dentilled cornice, parapet with clock, coat of arms decorated with swags and scrolls, inscription: CORN EXCHANGE and ERECTED A.D. 1862. INTERIOR: partly glazed dome with semi-elliptical and semicircular iron ribs. 2 storeys of moulded brick arches to 59 office units, the upper ones accessible from a balcony with cast-iron railings supported on large brackets. Retains most of the original furnishings: merchants' desks, sample trays, name boards. C20 conversion included removal of part of ground floor for access to basement with new stairs and matching cast-iron railings. Basement floor Elland flags. Cuthbert Brodrick (1822-1905) trained with HF Lockwood and began his practice in Hull. He won the open competition for the design of Leeds Town Hall, Victoria Square (qv) in 1853 and also designed the Mechanics' Institute, now Art School, in 1865. EH Listing

Corn Exchange, Newark on Trent. 1847 designed by Henry Duesbury. Later became cinema and then bingo hall, before conversion to nightclubs. Empty for a few years but apparently plans afoot to reopen. Grade 2 listed.
