Mrs M looking for Thor's cave (it's just below the toothy rock outcrop just emerging from the mist below the centre of the horizon). We'd walked over from the other side of Wetton Hill after sunrise (it has several tops). We gave up soon after and went down to the cafe at Wetton Mill for a cup of tea.
When I reached the top of Doria Castle in Portovenere, I was frightened by the wind’s strength but I was also astonished by a great view: under the wind’s gusts, the sea was embossing, bleaching and drawing geometry that men could never imitate.
The promontory, which stands for centuries as a barrier against the sea, was the spectator of this eternal, natural, stunning play.

Der russische Künstler Evgeni Antufjew und Pfarrer Martin Rüsch lernten sich im Rahmen der Manifesta 11 kennen.
Ins Zentrum seiner Zürcher Installation setzt Antufjew einen übergrossen Schmetterling, der vom Deckengewölbe der Wasserkirche herunterhängt. Dieser symbolisiere die Verletzlichkeit und Vergänglichkeit irdischer Existenz.
Im Hintergrund die drei grossen Fenster mit farbenprächtigen Glasgemälden von Augusto Giacometti

Nature is an endless source of beauty and inspiration for me. Not a day goes by that I can't find (my definition of) perfection outside.
Fall is here, temperatures are dropping and my miniature rose decides to produce one last exquisitely perfect rosebud :)

The Eternal Sunrise
after 2 years finally got a chance to get this shot processed this past weekend.
This is a panoramic shot consisting of 12 frames stitched manually with distortion and alignment corrections. when I took these shots I had to quickly take them to avoid any motion blur for the sun and some of the clouds.
As the sun rises over the horizon it lights up this amazing natural arch in orange hues.
Shot from Mesa Arch Canyon-lands national Park...this is an amazing experience to see this natural arch light up in bright orange at sunrise

Thank you Jeff for your kind suggestion on my previous upload Parade of X.
First I considered darkening on the edges and found out it would work much better in B&W.
As you commented on my previous upload, this photo is steel (and glass) version of a Fay Jones Chapel where I’d like to visit someday. I really appreciate inspirational advice from my flickr friends.
