Lily Pad Cards - Embossed Resist challenge... tried to make it soft and elegant..... hope you like - thanks for looking.....

Love these fall colors. I ink blended seedless preserves, wilted violet, carved pumpkin and fossilized amber on a watercolor panel. I sprayed the panel with water allowing the ink to soak in. Love the texture it created! Once completely dry, I stamped the SSS Leaves Background with Versamark and covered with clear embossing powder. Once the powder was meltedI went back over with the Sam colors. Once I sprayed it again, the inks blended into the non embossed areas!. I trimmed it and attached to a Kraft base. I embossed the sentiment using seedless preserves and attached it.

Detail of the embossed leaves. :)

I can definitely say that Embossed Leaves is a pattern that I love to knit and plan to knit yet again in the future. This is my third pair so far.

This was my first time knitting with Skinny Bugga. I've knit a shawl in regular Bugga, which I loved, and I liked working with Skinny Bugga as well. These feel great on my feet and I think they'll wear well over time.

It's hard to believe that I just bought this yarn two weeks ago at Maryland Sheep & Wool and now I have a pair of finished socks from it! Pretty neat. :)

Pattern: Embossed Leaves from Favorite Socks

Yarn: The Sanguine Gryphon Skinny Bugga in Honeybee, less than one skein

Needles: US 2

Size: US 8.5 shoe

Mods: I knit 10 rounds of twisted rib instead of 18. For the heel flap, I knit 20 rows instead of 24. On the gusset, I did not cut the yarn (as instructed) since...that didn't make sense to me, lol. Also on the gusset, I picked up 13 stitches along the heel flap instead of 15.

This was an order for my cousin who lives in Brisbane. I haven't seen her in over ten years! She had seen my sweet stuff on my facebook page though and asked if perhaps I could do something for her engagement party, their theme was a journey on a bicycle built for two. Which I thought was so lovely! I ordered a custom stamp, embossed these very large cookies, and posted them up to Brisy for her!

This card is for the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge. I used the reflections stamp set.

I stamped the image onto thin cardboard and used an exacto blade and a self healing mat for the cutting.
