Embankment, Bakerloo Line. The same style of roundel also adorns the Northern & District and Circle Line platforms as this station was refurbished all at once in the early 1980's.
The roundels form part of the platform covering. The Bakerloo Line platforms for example used to carry Yerkes tyle tiling when the station was once known as Charing Cross.
The embankment of the fort is clearly visible in the lush green thick vegetation surrounding it.
Clicked enroute to Bala Quila. Awesome drive, very quiet and one is literally in the lap of nature.
This embankment was created to help with the return of laden wagons of copper to the pier outside Bonmahon onto boats to Swansea in South Wales

The River Great Ouse passes through Bedford town centre and is lined with gardens and parks, amongst these is the Embankment.
The Embankment and Mill Meadows are frequently referred to as the Jewel in Bedford's Crown. The river was artificially widened by the Victorians, and the Embankment Gardens linked to Mill Meadows on the other side of the river by the Suspension Bridge in 1888, with Bedford Park inaugurated on the same day as the opening of the bridge.
They created an inland promenade along which modern Bedfordians and visitors alike still love to amble, taking in the riverside views and the dazzling bedding displays of the Embankment Gardens.
Within these gardens stands a war memorial to the fallen of the First World War. The memorial was designed in 1921 by the sculptor Charles Sargeant Jagger and depicts a Knight vanquishing a dragon. This is the focal point for the Remembrance Sunday Parade, which is attended by a number of organisations, including Bedfordshire Police.
The Victorians built the Embankment to serve as a prime leisure area, and this continues to this day. Both the Star Rowing Club and Bedford Rowing Club are located nearby, and a number of regattas take place alongside the Embankment each year.
At Bedfordshire Police our aim is "fighting crime, protecting the public."
We cover 477 square miles, serve a population of around 550,000 and employ in the region of 1,260 Police Officers, 950 police staff and 120 Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs). For more details about the force, visit our website www.bedfordshire.police.uk
After a frustrating day of showers followed by sun, I finally captured this half decent shot with some nice reflections along the Embankment!
Only managed to pull off a few shots before it started to rain!

The "Seven Sisters" is the English name given to a group of Moscow skyscrapers designed in the Stalinist style. Muscovites call them Vysotki or Stalinskie Vysotki which means Stalin's tall buildings. They were built during the dictator's last years between 1947 to 1953, in an elaborate combination of Russian Baroque and Gothic styles, and the technology used in building American skyscrapers. This is the apartment building on Kotyelnicheskaya Nabyerezhnaya embankment in Moscow.
There aren't many rivers in the world as oft-tagged as this one.

On Friday afternoon, Anna and I thought it would be fun to explore the (in)famous Los Angeles River. We both have an interest in strange urban spaces, and both looking to research the river for future artistic interpretations (she's working on sharing the story of the river through documentary film, I'll be doing a piece for one of my classes at Art Center). Although the river itself is huge (runs about 51 miles through the city), we spent our time at a soft-bottomed section of the river (in contrast to most of the rest of the river, which is paved over with concrete) in Los Feliz.
