Took a lovely stroll through a busy Embankment Gardens on a glorious afternoon and I think London always looks so much nicer when the sun is out. This small park is so pretty and it just felt right to stop and take a picture.
i like working with the tlr again, but need to get into the rhythm of the machine more as while the possibilities are endless, technique is essential .....

Another image from a recent visit to the RSPB Ynys-hir nature reserve taken during the golden hour before sunset. A lone young Oak tree growing on the embankment that follows the edge of this path, beyond is the ridge of the Tarennau with the main hills on the right, Tarren Hendre 634m and Tarren y Gesail 667m with a light cap of snow.
This Neoplan Skyliner, seen here, on 12/08/1996, about to turn off Victoria Embankment, London, was no stranger to the Capital, having been new to Yelloway-Trathen, Plymouth, in 08/1988, for their South-West to London Victoria National Express 'Rapide' services. It was registered F515ETA when new. It was operating a London commuter service back to Bedfordshire when seen here.
The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being a Boots Colourslide. Unfortunately, the pigment of this next batch of colourslides has altered, as I left it for the best part of two years prior to developing for some reason.

There are two sphinxes on the Thames Embankment, one either side of Cleopatra’s Needle. While the obelisk, erected in 1878, dates from around 1450BC, the sphinxes were created and added in 1882. They were designed by George Vulliamy and modelled by C. H. Mabey. According to the TourUK site, the bronze sphinxes were accidentally replaced facing the wrong way (that is, facing the obelisk) after being cleaned in the early years of the 20th century.
