From all of us, I want to say thank you for supporting Wikipedia with your regular donations. Every donation you have contributed has strengthened our efforts to provide access to free knowledge to people all over the world. Your generosity has made a real impact.
Wikipedia Beyond The Screen
We help children see that knowledge is power. In Nigeria, secondary school teachers put our “Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom” program into practice by providing media literacy skills to their students, helping them learn to spot bias in the information they consume.
We’re committed to protecting access to facts in times of crisis. The Russian government has sought to undermine Wikipedia’s neutrality and the information we share about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Wikimedia Foundation has taken legal steps to ensure we can continue to provide accurate and reliable information to the world.
We want to see gender parity on our screens. Since 2011, volunteer editors have pioneered projects to close the gender gap on Wikipedia by highlighting women in history. And since 2015, the proportion of biographies about women has risen from 15% to 19.47%. We’re excited by this progress and inspired by what our volunteers can achieve in the future.
I hope these snapshots provide a better picture of the difference your donations have made. Should you wish to start supporting again at any time in the future, you may create a new recurring donation here.
Thank you very much again for your generous support – you’ve made a real difference to our readers and you’ll always be part of the Wikipedia community. If you’d like to help us improve the donation experience for future donors, consider taking this 3 question survey. We will not share your information or feedback with anyone outside of the Wikimedia Fundraising team.

Portcullis House
Bridge Street cv Victoria Embankment. Westminster. Londres
Michael Hopkins. Michael Hopkins and Partners. Estructura Ove Arup & Partners. 1992-2001

Part of the reason I went to London was to take this shot. Wish I had a tripod, though!
All these London shots are from one day! There's more to come after the weekend.

Equipped area adjacent to the beach and adapted for walking. It is lined with white and pink marble tiles, which are shampooed to a shine. The place acquires special charm in the evening, when the lanterns are lit and music sounds from the open terraces of summer cafes. Along the flowering alleys, among the bizarre sculptures, there are always many tourists who make the obligatory vacation promenade.
Hello, my Flickr friends! I've just returned from a trip to Tver. We spent a wonderful day there. Here's an image of the night city embankment.
Cluskey Embankment Stores (completed 1842)
The Cluskey Embankment Stores, adjacent to City Hall on the east along the Drayton Street Ramp, were designed by architect Charles B. Cluskey and built as part of a larger public works project of the City of Savannah to construct retaining walls all along the bluff above Factors Walk and River Street to prevent erosion.
Along the Embankment - presumably inspired by Cleopatra's Needle nearby.
An intriguing spot for me, as sphinx featured large in the book I've just finished reading, but they were evil predators - so I looked at these in a different way.
The entrance facing towards the River Thames. Embankment station serves both sub-surface and deep level lines. Beyond this drab exterior a lot of refurbishment has taken place within the station itself. The sub-surface section of the station was opened in 1870 and the deep level lines arrived about thirty-five years later.
