What are the consequences of having attachment for people and/or things?

Having attachment turns into expectations, then into disappointment and later, into frustration. Pujya Niruma discusses this in the video. She explains that attachment ultimately leads to abhorrence. We should set such an understanding that whatever we get from another person, be it love or anger or hatred, we will accept it with equanimity. To reduce our attachment, we should analyse what we expect from a person, and then convince ourself not to have such expectations. In the end, such attachment and expectations only lead to suffering and sorrow.

Designed like a Dickensian street, but with 21st Century prices. Other than that disparity, splendid.

A scintillating tale of relationships, misunderstandings, expectations, old rituals, extending our generations and lot more…. Probably you have seen all this in many movies, in many dialects and many forms …but what’s so new and exhilarating is Director Ashok Kadaba’s exuberant script….with a thrilling end... the brilliant portrayal of human emotions and its unsatisfactory needs from others…..well it’s a journey that you will envisage in this movies, what we have witnessed in our lives in bits and pieces and at the end you will be left to ponder is life a sum of expectations buried by the feeling of what’s right and wrong…

Taken 24/12/23; for the last 25 years I have collected our Christmas beer from here, but this will be last time. From the Daily Echo:

"After failing to attract a buyer, the owners of Ringwood Brewery have been forced to make the unfortunate decision to close shop.

Over the past six months, Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC) has been advertising their brewery and shop sites for sale, however, they failed to receive an offer that met their expectations.

As a result, production of the Ringwood ale brands will be moved to other breweries within the CMBC network and Ringwood Brewery will close in January 2024."

Whilst the brand will continue (Razorback, Fortyniner and Boondoggle will be brewed at Banks’s Brewery, while Old Thumper will go to Marston’s Brewery), experience of other brewery closures suggesst the taste of the beers will change. Plus the town of Ringwood will lose an employer. I hope all the employees have a soft landing. The lady that served me does this as a seasonal job on top of being a teacher and her colleague is starting a dog walking business.
