"A strandkorb (from German, meaning: beach basket; Danish: strandkurv; English: hooded beach chair) is a special hooded windbreak seating furniture used at vacation and seaside resorts, constructed from wicker, wood panels and canvas, usually seating up to two persons, with reclining backrests. It was designed to provide comfort seating and shelter from wind, rain, sand gusts and sunburn on beach seafront resorts frequented by tourists. Other built-in details, like extendable footrests, sun awning, side folding tables and storage space, provide the user with several comforts.
Strandkorbs are found at nearly all beach seafront resorts of the North Sea and Baltic Sea in Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, as well as other beach seafronts where sudden fluctuations in adverse weather conditions and wind gusts can prevail. The "strandkorb" beach-chair is considered a cult object of German Gemütlichkeit, which has survived two world wars, social and industrial revolutions and the East-West divide of Germany. From spring to autumn, they can usually be rented from beach-chair wardens (German Strandkorbwärtern). Two different shapes can be distinguished, the straight angular North Sea variety and the round rolling Baltic Sea variety."

"Well Castle (Dutch: Kasteel Well) is a fully restored 14th century medieval castle located in the Dutch province of Limburg, in the small village of Well, The Netherlands. It is located near the border with Germany, and it is approximately 2 hours southeast of Amsterdam. Kasteel Well itself is made up of two buildings: the Main Castle and the voorburcht, or outer castle. There are two courtyards within Kasteel Well. There are also two moats: an inner and outer moat.
Emerson College obtained Kasteel Well in 1988 and since then has been using it to house students participating in a study abroad program. Over the years since it was obtained by Emerson, they have made several renovations, the latest of which added new rooms bringing the student capacity per semester to around 90 students.
Every fall and spring semester, approximately eighty students from Emerson's Boston, Massachusetts, campus live in and take classes at Kasteel Well."

"The National War and Resistance Museum of the Netherlands (Dutch: Nationaal Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum) is located at Overloon, municipality Boxmeer.
The museum is located on the site of the Battle of Overloon, a World War II tank and infantry battle between Allied and German forces that occurred in September and October 1944, in the aftermath of Operation Market Garden.
Set in 14 hectares of woodland, it is one of two museums in an area now designated as Liberty Park. A feature of the museum is the large number of military vehicles and equipment on display, both German and Allied. For years these have been kept in the open air, but have recently been moved indoors in order to help preserve them. Many of the exhibited vehicles took part in the Battle of Overloon. In 2006 the collection was expanded with a large number of vehicles from a private collection."

新家的生態池從建立好之後，總是有些特別的意外訪客光臨。原本誤以為稚蟲是奇怪的甲蟲，曾經因為花卉被啃壞而一度想拿Dyson將牠移除，還好悲天憫人的夫人勸我將牠留下，我才能有這麼近距離地觀看蜻蜓羽化的過程，真美。
很興奮地將某小朋友抓來看，從事生態教育，沒想到他大喊好可怕之後就溜地跑走，獨自留下我在此和這美麗的生物對話。喔 ~ 對了，夫人發現生態池裡多了些蝌蚪，未來真的變成青蛙跑進家中，就要有勞我來補抓了 XDD

The Sequoia Farm Kaldenkirchen is a 35,635 m² (≈ 3.6 hectares) arboretum near the town of Nettetal. Here, in the middle of the 20th century, the first systematic cultivation of all three redwood species in Europe took place. The site was used for several years by universities and as a biological station and since 2013 it has been owned by the non-profit "Sequoiafarm" association.
