To mark the end of the year - the new edition of Fatboys Digest hit the streets today.
Merry christmas everyone - and thanks alot for the positive feedback here on Flickr!
Taken from the corner of Broadway & Main Street in Somerville facing towards Tufts In this section Broadway runs almost due east-west, meaning that the sun will only set directly over the street a few days a year. I lucked out and happened to be walking up when it was happening. Snapped off over 100 shots of traffic and the sky, this one came out best. The exposure was stepped down to keep the sun from looking too bright, other than cropping this is how it came off the camera. Cropped to take out extra black space around the image, I think this size gives a good balance overall.

Kirkus Review: Mar 5th, 1940
Another melodrama in the Little Caesar vein -- and a good one. With gangster stories front page in the newspaper, this should build up a big rental distribution, and yet the underlying psychology, the picture of the man behind the guns, so to speak, deserves more attention than the average sure-fire renter ordinarily gets. A gangster, in for life, is ""sprung"" by one of the big bosses, in order to put through a special job, a gem robbery at a California desert resort (Palm Springs is suggested, though the name is imaginary). One sees the softer side of the man, in his human relations, his relations with a small stray pup, with anyone or anything weak and defenseless. And yet he becomes Public Enemy Number One. Good reading – easy selling.

It's such a strange vine wrapped around my neck
Twisted up between my steps, between my steps.
I'm tripping and falling over things we just couldn't get over
I tried my best, to get it off my chest.

I was tagged by Delilah_3 but I don't wanna do ten facts so I'll just tag a few random people.
Ruby greatly enjoyed the pumpkin I gave to the sheep and goats yesterday. It was large and curvy, and needed many throws against a cinder block to break open. The flesh inside was several inches thick, and looked pretty sweet and tasty. It was also juicy and messy to eat.
A few weeks ago, Reader's Digest contacted me, wanting to use one of my photographs for their June/July issue in association with an article they were doing about affordable art resources on the internet.
Hmm...let's see...most widely read magazine in the world...translated in 19 languages...global readership of more than 100 million...
"Uh, sure, I guess you can use my photograph..." :-)
This guy was so into Readers Digest he was oblivious to acknowledging that I was taking endless photos of him. What is it about Readers Digest?
This guys total focus in reading his copy of the Digest and his cool hat caught my attention. I walked around him at will clicking and he never once looked up. I wish all my street models were as compliant. Karen was embarrased at my brash photo taking.
