Endemic to Borneo. Jeff Wood lists it as coming from Kalimantan and Sarawak (Mulu and Bario) which are on the other side of the range comprising Mt Ramau. This may be the first documentation of this species in Sabah.
An orchid species from Philippines, which grows at high mountainous altitudes and grows easily in cultivation. I originally paid $20 for a plant with 6 leaves and have grown it into this specimen over a period of about 20 years. It looks more like a clump of grass and the individual flowers are less than 1.5mm across. I have included pics of the whole plant and a few close ups of the flowers, which are quite interesting when seen large in comparison to their actual minute size.

This dendrochilum is currently in full bloom in my greenhouse. The plant is about 17 inches tall. I estimate that there about 200 inflorescences (the most that its ever had). The flowers are deep red.
Originally thought endemic to the Province of Pangasinan in the Philippines but it has now also been found on the Island of Cebu
