The theme for the 2018 Exposition (the 66th) was “Curiouser and Curiouser, Orchids in Wonderland.” The theme plays off the story of “Alice in Wonderland,” and the Mad Hatter Tea Party was the theme for the Gala.

This is where most of the more robust orchids go during the cold seasons (a few go into the significantly harsher environment of our research lab windows). The exposure is approximately NNE, but the plants do ok. This photo was taken in November, before the snow descended.

The Orchid Society of Minnesota had its annual plant sale at Linder's Garden Center today, and here's what I got, first rear left to right: Eria amica, Dendrochilum tenellum, Dendrochilum luzonica, variegated Vanilla planifolia, Brassavola nodosa.
Foreground: two big divisions of Dendrobium cucumerinum, the bargain of the day at $5 each.
