DeLorean - необычная машина с клиновидным силуэтом и открывающимися вверх дверями. Она смотрится пришельцем из будущего даже сейчас. В своё время DMC-12 «прошёл кастинг» и был утверждён на роль машины времени в знаменитой фантастической комедии «Назад в будущее». Ибо, как выразился один из героев этого фильма, Док Браун, «если уж встраивать машину времени в автомобиль, то лучше в стильный». Кроме того, футуристический вид с серебристыми панелями, четырьмя прямоугольными фарами и дверьми типа «крыло чайки» делает машину очень похожей на космический аппарат. «Раскрученная» благодаря кино машина стала настоящим культовым объектом.

Not a party I was invited to, just a random street encounter. Yes, that is a real Delorean, and they really did block off a whole lane of traffic with a car and the candles for hours to make a cheesy 80's reference.

This DeLorean DMC-12 was in mint condition on the outside as well as on the inside. There were two on display this past weekend at the 2009 Euro Auto Festival at the BMW manufacturing facility in Greer, SC.

While tagging along to help set up a Sci Fi Weekend at the NSC in Leicester, England, I spotted this DeLorean in original looking condition being driven into its sheltered stand on the evening before the center opened to the public. I had to get some photos of it so I waiting until the next day.

I spoke to the owner and she told me she drives to work in the DeLorean. I was astounded. She said "Its a car, thats what its for!"

Fair enough!

I presume this is a mock up of the Back to the Future Delorean on display at Treasure Park Cornwall
