I finally built the Delorean from Back To The Future! It was tricky to pull off at this scale, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out. In order to get the details I used some slightly fragile techniques, but once it's all put together it holds just fine. I had alot of fun designing and building this one and I hope you do too!
Instructions are up on my Rebrickable page!
One of three DMC-12s converted to right hand drive for use in the DeLorean factory in Northern Ireland. It still has its original number plates judging by the small writing at the bottom, which reads 'DeLorean Motor Cars LTD, Dunmurry N.I.'
Nottingham Autokarna, 3.6.18
DeLoreans are rear-engined cars, with luggage space in the front. The mechanism for lowering the wheels and the hinges for the cover mean that there isn't much luggage space in the model, though.
This car appeared in the famous ,,Back to the Future" series as a time machine. Many of the lego versions of this car are inspired from the movie, so I wanted to build the real version of it.
This is my second attemp of building the DMC-12. You can see my first version here: www.flickr.com/photos/razvy_cluj_ro/sets/7215762829474866...

So I finally managed to pick up the Back to the Future Cuusoo set and boy am I happy I did! It is amazing.
The overall quality of the set is outstanding, from printed bricks to exclusive mini-figures the set is really top notch with a top end manual and sleek box too.
I've placed it next to my Tumbler ( _Tiler's design) just as a size comparison and a slightly humorous picture.
Just a note, I am also catching up with any pictures I haven't uploaded for the past 3 months so please bare with me. I am editing a picture of the Tumbler right now.
My last Delorean was a blocky mess, but thanks to some new parts released in the Speed Champion Porche set, I made some adjustments. I think this looks appropriately eighties.
A Delorean painted with color changing paint. This was parked outside of the Delorean Motor Company (California) during their 2007 Open House event.
(I'm aware that there are new electric DeLoreans being produced, mine takes place in an alternate timeline ;) )
After the DeLorean Motor Company's bankruptcy in 1983 and its subsequent acquisition by the DeLorean Motor Company of Humble, Texas (which was originally started to provide parts and services to owners of DeLoreans after the company's bankruptcy), the DeLorean marque remained a defunct cult classic. However, as of 2013 the company decided to revive the name with redesigned DeLoreans, updated for the new millennium. Features include carbon fiber body panels, energy-saving LED lights, and a 3-chamber rotary engine that produces 500 horsepower, putting the car solidly in the muscle car bracket. DMCH is aware of the brand's cultural significance and cult following, and included many small homages to the original DMC-12 in places such as the dashboard and the upholstery.

I spotted this blue Delorean in Williamson earlier this year. I don't really like it in blue but at least the owner's enjoying it. He drives to a lot of different car shows so I've seen it in Marion, Webster, Ontario, Watkins Glen, and Williamson before. This was the only time it was a random street spot though. The interior wasn't in the best condition either.
Covers a very rare 1981 Delorean DMC that was at the show. Not many of these are in Australia, and were never sold here.
