It is pretty wired that Philipp just told me right before i uploaded these that today is Delorean“s deathday:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_DeLorean
Well i paid some justice to one of the most beloved cars of movie history i hope.
The chassis is spraypainted metalic silver.
The scale is 1:15.
The beat from the video is by MAXIMUM BEATS:
Thanks Max !
My quest for the best possible minifig DeLorean in silver continues. I lenghten the back by two plates, now it seems less chunky, I rebuilt the whole timemachine equipment on the back, seems fairly accurate compared to the studio model. This part is tricky, since it's very difficult to sort out the pics of the real car and copies that were built all around the globe. Movies don't help, too dark, to fast, not enough detail shots. I am thinking about replacing the middle row of silver plates with black, there is a plastic line along the doors.
The only 5 photo's remaining of this full-on photoshoot. I lost them all in a hard-disk crash many years ago. One was left on another device, the other 4 I had to steal back from Autogespot.nl where only the "spot" itself was left. The full photoshoot has been lost there as well... So unless I ever trace back the owner, this is all that remains of this one fantastic day shooting around and inside a DeLorean.
There is one place however... I made a 25 minute video back then which includes all the shots taken that day. For the real enthusiasts: vimeo.com/12693149

I prefer to walk around town, but I might have to make an occasional special exception for this case.
Whenever you can take a vision, and make it a reality, I believe that you cherish that moment and use it as motivation/a reminder to keep doing what you love.
When I first received these in the mail, I instantly knew how I wanted to shoot them. As a nod to the Back to the Future trilogy, I wanted to reference the scene of the Delorean hitting 88mph and leaving fire trails .
This was easily the most intense/thrilling time I had doing what I love the most. At one point I was certain that I was going to ruin a historic shoe because of how hot it got, but the Mags withstood the heat.
I'd like to thank my partner in crime, Ricky Cribb, and his parents for assisting on this adventure. If it weren't for you guys, I probably would have hurt myself, set the shoes on fire, and landed myself in jail.

I finally built the Delorean from Back To The Future! It was tricky to pull off at this scale, but I'm really happy with the way it turned out. In order to get the details I used some slightly fragile techniques, but once it's all put together it holds just fine. I had alot of fun designing and building this one and I hope you do too!
Instructions are up on my Rebrickable page!

One of three DMC-12s converted to right hand drive for use in the DeLorean factory in Northern Ireland. It still has its original number plates judging by the small writing at the bottom, which reads 'DeLorean Motor Cars LTD, Dunmurry N.I.'
Nottingham Autokarna, 3.6.18
This car appeared in the famous ,,Back to the Future" series as a time machine. Many of the lego versions of this car are inspired from the movie, so I wanted to build the real version of it.
This is my second attemp of building the DMC-12. You can see my first version here: www.flickr.com/photos/razvy_cluj_ro/sets/7215762829474866...

So I finally managed to pick up the Back to the Future Cuusoo set and boy am I happy I did! It is amazing.
The overall quality of the set is outstanding, from printed bricks to exclusive mini-figures the set is really top notch with a top end manual and sleek box too.
I've placed it next to my Tumbler ( _Tiler's design) just as a size comparison and a slightly humorous picture.
Just a note, I am also catching up with any pictures I haven't uploaded for the past 3 months so please bare with me. I am editing a picture of the Tumbler right now.
This is my take on the Back to the Future DeLorean time machine. I wanted to make it as accurate to the movie as possible including the lightning rod, Mr. Fusion, etc. as well as being able to hold figures.
Another thing I really wanted to do was to put transparent bricks in all of the windows, because most MOCs just leave the windows empty. I also decided to include opening doors, despite the fact that they're pretty fragile.
This is actually the second time I have built this vehicle. The old one was extremely disproportionate, so I decided to have another go. I'm much happier with it this time around.
My last Delorean was a blocky mess, but thanks to some new parts released in the Speed Champion Porche set, I made some adjustments. I think this looks appropriately eighties.
