A commissioned model to build a more movie-accurate model than the CUUSOO set. It has functioning doors and seats two minifigs...or a minifig and a dog ;)

Good to see a DMC DeLorian's stainless steel shining in the sun at Silloth in original condition - not converted to look like the "Back to the Future" time machine.

(I'm aware that there are new electric DeLoreans being produced, mine takes place in an alternate timeline ;) )

After the DeLorean Motor Company's bankruptcy in 1983 and its subsequent acquisition by the DeLorean Motor Company of Humble, Texas (which was originally started to provide parts and services to owners of DeLoreans after the company's bankruptcy), the DeLorean marque remained a defunct cult classic. However, as of 2013 the company decided to revive the name with redesigned DeLoreans, updated for the new millennium. Features include carbon fiber body panels, energy-saving LED lights, and a 3-chamber rotary engine that produces 500 horsepower, putting the car solidly in the muscle car bracket. DMCH is aware of the brand's cultural significance and cult following, and included many small homages to the original DMC-12 in places such as the dashboard and the upholstery.

My take on the Delorean. This is the vanilla variety that only travel on the road. It doesnt fly and do not travel in time yet. I tried to have a very clean model, it is almost studless. The doors open, the "spike" part outlining the side windows. The wedge shape of thre door lower rear side is there. I'm quite proud of the rear lights.

Rebuilt the rear section of my six stud wide DeLorean this weekend. The big change was I got rid of the wedges I was using on the sides and added bars in a sloping angle to try and replicate the rear/side window frames. Also added exhaust pipes, some dark gray framing around the tail lights and reshaped the glowing pieces.

This shot is number 46/52 from my album 52 regards from the archive - the bit other project.

Many people on Flickr have these 365 days projects but I wanted to do another one. I don't want to force myself to take a picture every day. I just want to take pictures if I want and if I feel that it's right. Also I want to show some "respect" to my "old" photographs and cameras.

So every Friday I will post a photo from the archive back from the days when I had no MILC/DSLM.

I hope you will enjoy it :)

The DeLorean DMC12 time machine, from the Back to the Future Movie Trilogy is one of the most known cars in movie history.

Here's a small car I made a while back. I was pretty happy with how it turned out, in spite of the bungling edit, but for all that I'm not a car builder, and so there are no doubt some big flaws. Any comments would be appreciated!

The DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) was an American automobile manufacturer formed by automobile industry executive John DeLorean in 1975. It is remembered for the one model it produced—the stainless steel DeLorean sports car featuring gull-wing doors—and for its brief and turbulent history, ending in receivership and bankruptcy in 1982. In October 1982, John DeLorean was videotaped in a sting operation agreeing to bankroll drug trafficking, but was acquitted in the subsequent trial on the basis of entrapment.

The DeLorean was memorably featured in the Back to the Future film trilogy (1985, 1989, and 1990) as the model of car made into a time machine by eccentric scientist Doc Brown, although the company had closed down before the first film was made.

Late model, last registered in 1990. It missed the death of Grunge, birth of Britpop and of course, the rise of AltaVista.

The only 5 photo's remaining of this full-on photoshoot. I lost them all in a hard-disk crash many years ago. One was left on another device, the other 4 I had to steal back from Autogespot.nl where only the "spot" itself was left. The full photoshoot has been lost there as well... So unless I ever trace back the owner, this is all that remains of this one fantastic day shooting around and inside a DeLorean.

There is one place however... I made a 25 minute video back then which includes all the shots taken that day. For the real enthusiasts: vimeo.com/12693149

This is my take on the Back to the Future DeLorean time machine. I wanted to make it as accurate to the movie as possible including the lightning rod, Mr. Fusion, etc. as well as being able to hold figures.

Another thing I really wanted to do was to put transparent bricks in all of the windows, because most MOCs just leave the windows empty. I also decided to include opening doors, despite the fact that they're pretty fragile.

This is actually the second time I have built this vehicle. The old one was extremely disproportionate, so I decided to have another go. I'm much happier with it this time around.

The best part of this DeLorean was the childs car seat in the passenger seat!

The DMC DeLorean (often referred to simply as the "DeLorean") is a sports car and was the only automobile manufactured by John DeLorean's DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) for the American market from 1981 to 1983. The car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and stood out for its gull-wing doors and brushed stainless-steel outer body panels

the car was made memorable through its appearances as the time machine in the Back to the Future media franchise after 1985..

An unusual pairing. I thought it odd to see a Delorean in France initially, but then I guess they did have Renault engines. I wonder how many were sold to customers in France originally.
