This piece brings Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera into a symbolic 2025 protest in Washington, D.C. Drawn from historical press photos, their presence is a reminder that the same communities who stood at Stonewall are still showing up — still resisting, still being targeted.
As another national day of action approaches on April 19th, this painting speaks to the ongoing fight for rights — sprinkled throughout are nods to many things this administration is stepping on, almost all of which we’ve fought for before. I invite you to look for them when viewing the image.
The title flips Marsha’s iconic phrase, “Pay it no mind,” into a challenge. It’s not just about looking back — it’s about staying present, paying attention, and speaking up.

"Blue Bear" in downtown Denver. The Blue Bear, officially titled "I See What You Mean," is a large blue sculpture of a bear peeking into the Colorado Convention Center. Created by Lawrence Argent, the sculpture was installed in 2005 as part of Denver's Public Art Program.

Snowy New Years Day. took my guy's outside and played with some forced perspective, between rounds of snow removal.
