I made this tromp l'oeil chandelier for the Department of Craft challenge for November.

The chandelier is stenciled onto fabric.

The drops are made of cheap pearls from party city dipped in pink paint. I made chandelier crystals out of fabric.

I put the glue on the smurfs and picked them up to glue them to the cover and fumbled and dropped them twice. Glue side down both times.

Now clean up any hanging bits of binding left in the gap and cover it with the duck tape. This will add strength the the spine and also make it look nicer. Take care to make the tape lie flat against the spine as well as the front and back covers. If you don't the tape will separate from the spine and not add strength.

Here is the interior of my cover with my earbuds wrapped around the center for easy storage.
