Ian McCall’s former Ribble Motor Services Limited 831 DBV 831W, a Leyland National 2 NL106L11/1R with a B44F+20 body built 1980 on The Strand in Liverpool by the Brunswick Street junction during the Merseyside Transport Trust’s Merseyside PTE 50 event. Sunday 8th September 2019

Note, DBV 831W was originally operated by Ribble Motor Services Limited as number 831. Ribble Motor Services Limited was purchased by the Stagecoach Group on 21st April 1989 and operations were transferred to Stagecoach (North West) Limited on 30th April 1991 but vehicles continued to operate on the Ribble Motor Services Limited operator’s license. DBV 831W was withdrawn from service in 2001 and purchased for preservation by Colin McKay in November 2001. It was purchased by Ian McCall in September 2005

Was DBV 831W running empty somewhere or providing a relief service between the 13:55 Pier Head (Mann Island) to Netherton (Magdalene Square) 57A heritage service and the 14:00 Pier Head (Mann Island) to Netherton (Magdalene Square) 57A heritage service?

It was transferred to Greater Manchester Buses South Limited as number 22404 circa October 2013 and was withdrawn from service circa March 2017but retained as driver training vehicle, the seating being altered from B42F
