Cooper's Hawk On The Back Porch

A Cooper's Hawk (thanks to "snakehandler" for the identity) landing on a power line next to my house.

Cooper Health were awarded the BLS and ALS contract for the City of Camden in 2016 providing pre-hospital care as well as aeromedical services.

The Cooper's hawk sat for 8 hours today until it got dark and then flew off.

I saw this one swoop up and land in the maple tree a few moments after all the tweeters left in a hurry. It sat there looking around and sunning for a good ten minutes before a leisurely departure. Shot from inside my family room, through a less-than-clean window.
