A westbound train from New York to Long Branch crosses the Navesink River in Red Bank on a beautiful Autumn afternoon on NJ Transit’s North Jersey Coast Line. This deck plate girder bridge was built in 1913 by the Central Railroad of New Jersey.

on my way to work i was already daydreamin' about the possibilities here, 'cause the weatherforecast warned for ground fog the previous evening .......... just couldn't resist that morning to go off the usual track, it was the right choice.
An eastbound commuter train is about to cross under Powder Mill Rd in Beltsville, MD behind two B&O steam generator equipped GP9s. I don't know the name of the industry at left, but maps show it labeled as "Beltsville team track" which would be incorrect since it is most certainly an industry (the highly specialized N&W boxcars further this theory). Note exPM/C&O coach #1700 bringing up the rear now wearing WM circus colors. This slide has a June 1974 processing date, no exact date listed. Ray Slagle photo, JL Sessa collection.

A Budapesti Közlekedési Vállalat (BKV, Budapest Transit Company) Combino Supra tram (Siemens, 2006-2007) on Line 6 is seen arriving at Margit híd, budai hídfő station. The station for Lines 4 and 6 is on Margit híd itself, and the stairs from the platform allow connections to the Line 17, 19, and 41 station on ground level as well as the underground MÁV-HÉV Line H5 commuter rail station.
Commuter agencies are not normally known for operating through great scenic vistas, but for UTA's FrontRunner trains, the Jordan Narrows provide some terrific picture postcard views for its daily riders.

The Tokyo subway, with its 8.7m daily users is a sight to behold and from what I experienced, the system works brilliantly. With that many people around you don't often see a single commuter on the other side of the escalator, hence this quick snapshot.
