C4EO has used InstantAtlas as a core component of the interactive, web-based Progress Maps to help professionals access and apply the ‘what works’ evidence collected by the Centre to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.

"Using InstantAtlas (with excellent technical support from Geowise) has allowed us to develop and launch complex, interactive tools in a very short period of time. Though it is still early days, feedback so far has been overwhelming positive."

ZoneOneRadio - #ZoneOneDigest - Whither Spingtime? by Stuarthardy on Mixcloud

This week on Zone One Radio, people went outside and led interesting vibrant lives. Except from presenter of the weekly clipshow Zone One Digest. Stuart Hardy stayed indoors so he could grumble about the cold and present the best of the week on the Mayor of London funded community radio station for Central London. This week:

On #LondonGP - Deranged lunatic Matthew Layton braved the snow to go have a chat with professional driver Alex Brundle

#Techtalkfest talked to Cait O'riordan about how she organised the BBC coverage of the London Olympics in a time before the sun vanished.

#Generation3 with owner of Urban record label Souled, Susan Vickers and radio youngster James Levett stayed indoors and chatted about urban music.

And #CommunityProfile investigated how some people can live in London but pay very little rent in a special hunt for the Property Guardians of London's swankiest locations.

With all this and more, well, I don't think there is but there could be, its ZoneOneDigest!

Purpose: To provide a national, annually updated report of recorded crime patterns and trends for England and Wales aimed at external users like citizens, community groups and journalists.

Purpose: Norfolk County Council have used InstantAtlas Server to implement their local Data Observatory called Norfolk Insight. A key capability is the ability to produce a wide range of area profile reports at multiple geographic levels. The reports also link to interactive data views. In most cases their data is held once at the lowest geographic resolution and all reports are generated from this data. Much of the data is subject to relatively regular updates so users are presented with profile reports that auto-update to show the latest available data

The Association of Public Health Observatories was commissioned by the Department of Health in 2005 to produce Health Profiles. Health Profiles provide a snapshot of health for each local council in England using key health indicators, which enables comparison locally, regionally and over time."

The aims of the profiles are:

* To provide a consistent, concise, comparable and balanced overview of the population’s health that informs local needs assessment, policy, planning, performance management, surveillance and practice.

* To be a distillate of the absolutely key, most useful (currently available) indicators (with a reference to new data/indicators and unavailable data/indicators).

* To be primarily of use to joint efforts between local government and the health service to improve health and reduce health inequalities, but ultimately to empower the wider community.

Health Profiles Interactive is a new service introduced in 2008 to allow users to select indicators and areas for comparison through a map or list in an intuitive visual interface. The interactive reports have been produced at several different geography levels to allow indicator comparisons over these geographies.

Music this week from Boxer Rebellion,
