Kahn & Etta don't really like to walk across this bridge but they will do it for us🐾💕

This beach is named after 7 soldiers who used to live here - according to the locals. Why they got here and what happened to them no one can say for sure.

The beach is of fine white sand and perfect for swimming and sunbathing. There were several boats here when we arrived - almost all were on the last leg of a day-long island-hopping tour. Since this beach is on the Palawan mainland and very close to El Nido town, it makes for the perfect last stop, especially with a shop on the island serving cold drinks, snacks and the local Halo-halo dessert.

Today is the anniversary of D-Day 6th June 1944. This memorial, near Spean Bridge, to the memory of those who volunteered to do arduous and dangerous tasks over and above the others who also fought for freedom from tyranny, is a place of quiet. Visitors from all over the world come here and take in the magnificent solitude and views while showing their respect to the sacrifice of servicemen who, if caught, were not treated under the terms of The Geneva Convention.

The free world owes an immense debt to the heroics and service of all such from all walks of life who not only represented their own country but also the others who defended the right to freedom.

The cost of such freedom from tyranny is always high and still tyranny exists.

It is a sad state of affairs that. after so much sacrifice, the world cannot seem to live together in peace and harmony.

The Commando Memorial is a monument in Scotland, dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II. Situated around a mile from Spean Bridge village, it overlooks the training areas of the Commando Training Depot established in 1942 at Achnacarry Castle. Unveiled in 1952 by the Queen Mother, it has become one of Scotland's best-known monuments, both as a war memorial and as a tourist attraction offering views of Ben Nevis and Aonach Mòr.

As part of their Force Generation process and wider preparation for Lead Commando Group, 45 Commando Royal Marines deployed to America during Exercise Green Dagger. The exercise involved Live Fire Tactical Training (LFTT) and a Force of Force (FEX) exercise with two United States Marine Corps (USMC) Battle Groups (BG), conducted on an impressively large village complex. During the exercise 45 Cdo were stationed at Camp Wilson, located on the Marine Air Ground Combat Centre, a huge training complex of approx 100 square kilometres in the Mojave Desert. It was a great opportunity for the Commandos to meet and train with their American counterparts.

Seven Commandos Beach near El Nido, Palawan, the Philippines, is always crowderd with daytrippers.

Seen at Glasson Dock - a Norton Commando Fastback.

I think it is just a myth - I don't think the seat hump (or whatever its called) made it any faster ;-)

When I had been riding a few years I was considering buying one but when I went for a test ride I couldn't start it so bought a Suzuki GT750 instead!

Although I took an actual camera (not just a phone) and there was lots to photograph including plenty of bikes, I only took one photo all day. I think that we were too busy talking when we weren't on our bikes.

The last stop of our last day of island-hopping at Bacuit Bay, El Nido, Philippines. This beach is actually located on the mainland of El Nido.

The Commando Memorial, erected in 1952, is an A-listed monument to the men of the British Commando Forces of WWII who trained at nearby Archnacarry Castle, Spean Bridge, Scottish Highlands. The Commandos were established by Churchill after Dunkirk in June 1940. They are looking south towards Ben Nevis, the area shown in yesterday's photo, where they did their training.

Forgive me such a vibe handed pic.

It was too dark to shoot with hand holding.

These figures are supposed to be the figures from the computer game series "Commandos".

Ran into these guys in a parking garage. If it wasn't during SXSW I would've run the other way.

My dream bike. However... I owned a Commando 850 Mk2A for 38 years and sold it in the end because my aging legs could no longer start it. It was fitted with 8.5:1 pistons. The above beauty, I assume, would have the Combat engine with 10:1 pistons. Definitely couldn't start this one. And I'm sure that if it had a mind to, it could easily launch you over the handlebars if it kicked back. Still, it would be nice to have in the living room.

So apparently not ONLY is Echo still alive, but he was to return in season 7 (Most likely with Gregor?) in an Experimental Commando story Arc.

Check it out on Clone Wars' story writer Brent Friedman's twitter page...

Oh, and there's a SLIM chance we could get a season 7 on Netflix. Anyone want to bombard Filoni with emails? :P

Friend of mine just finished rebuilding this 1982 Norton Commando 850 to pristine conditions. Went for an 80 mile ride today and it performed flawlessly. Next step is to add a few oil leaks to it and it will then be a truly 100% Norton build quality!! Those of you that have owned British bikes will know what I am talking about..

Commandos are much too tough to be concerned about a little rain, but the statues at the Commando Memorial near Spean Bridge in Lochaber were about to be hit by a very heavy deluge! Facing the incoming weather, the memorial overlooks the training areas of the Commando Training Depot established in 1942 at Achnacarry Castle.

Upon the request from a commission or two and suggestions from others, I have designed an Imperial Commando template. Based on a mixture of the only three good reference pictures I have, this template went through a series of trials before the final product, seen here, was made. The visor itself took four different attempts to get shape and shading right. Nevertheless, I am pleased with the outcome. Thanks to Clone Army Customs for the weapon, helmet, and backpack; Tyler's helmet worked great for the Imperial Commando template.

It may be a little hard to see, but I've integrated battle-damage to the figure via decals. Battle damage is not usually something you see made from decals, so I tried my best; view on all sizes for a better view of the battle damage and details.

So anyways, as always, I'd like to see your feedback! I want to know what you guys think of the battle damage and the visor; is there anything you would like to see changed or added, maybe even removed? Let me know in the comments!
