Does anyone want a cup of coffee? / ¿Alguien quiere una taza de café?

Naturally Auroville is a good place to go to if you are looking for knick-knacks to do up your house with. You can get From paper lamps, earrings, leather sandals (very popular), coffee mugs, trays and furniture to quilts, durries, silk kaftans and the all-famous incense sticks here. Its bakery section is also very popular.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and this bowl will guarantee you look forward to it!

My first coffee of 2012...

Happy new year! Happy new you!

Story behind the mug :

This is one of my favorite mug

I bought it in Bali, August 1995, at the Joger shop during my work trip

We're seeing The Dark Knight tomorrow, but I can't help thinking about the new X-Files movies out this week...because I looooved the X-Files something fierce.

Which reminds me....this coffee mug is 10 years old. Yes, ten.years.old. It's a cheesy thing I picked up at the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell, New Mexico.

Roswell was the last stop on a summer independent study project I put together in undergraduate school, and which nobody thought I could get any of the professors to sponsor.

Short story: Me and three other people earned 5 credit hours for hunting UFOs.

Testing a pair of triangular rollers by placing a board and a coffee mug on them and pushing the board sideways.

A curve of constant width is a two-dimensional shape whose width, as measured with calipers, is the same, regardless of the orientation of the curve relative to the calipers. You can extrude such a curve into a three-dimensional roller that will have a constant height as you roll it around on a flat surface. A board supported by a pair of such rollers will move horizontally without any up and down motion. A circle is a curve of constant width, but it's not the only one; there are many others. A Reuleaux triangle (an equilateral triangle where each side is a circular arc centered on the opposite corner) also has constant width, and you can use it as the basis for rollers that look like they shouldn’t work at all. Inspired by my daughter's high school project I made an example out of wood.

A quality morning on Queen Anne, thanks.

Squirrels on a beautiful early Autumn day in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan. Taken on Monday October 15th, 2018. Brought in a Carrigan Cafe mug to get some pictures (celebrating my photo exhibit there in Saline).

I couldn't decide which of these I liked better, but I was enjoying playing with the natural morning light coming through the window.

You spend most time

Trying to figure out

Why you can never figure out just what you're trying to figure out?

Spend more time living

You spend most time

Searching for the love that'll be searching for your love

You love to save your love for love

Spend more time loving

You spend most time

Talking 'bout yourself and how it matters to yourself

More than to anybody else

Spend more time listening

You spend most time

Judging everything as if you ever knew a thing

There's more to things than just one thing

Spend more time respecting

You spend most time

Worried 'bout what's to say about your silly little ways

Isn't that silly, anyway?

Spend more time flowing

You spend most time

Fussing, bluffing, hating all times

Bleeding

Oh My!

My cousin Monica is getting married in Kingston today. It should be a fun wedding! I prepare my drinking coffee without my lovely dress on (no spills) and listening to Andrew Bird.

I've been using my longer focal length lenses lately and loving it ^_^

Today will be a long day with several meetings and our big company Christmas party. No wonder I'm dressed up with my drak suit...

Before heading to the office I had a quick breakfast which Alex had prepared for me - just some cereals and a coffee. I couldn't survive a day without my morning coffee! (ask my colleagues)

And with this quick breakfast shot it is official - I am strange! I collect kitchen timer! See the shelf in the background? There are 2 rows with timers...

It started a looooong time ago, when I moved out of my parent's house and my first cooking experiments failed. They bought a kitchen timer. When the second cooking experiment failed they bought another one, then I saw a funny timer, then another and somehow.... you see the outcome!

What shall I say? Hi, my name is Anja and I'm collecting kitchen timers. :-)

I admit it: I have a bad coffee addiction. It actually more worse than my technology addiction. I spend more money on coffee and time in a coffee shop more than any other place I go.

I'm trying to cut back a little bit but giving up coffee isn't exactly an easy thing to do. I suppose I can be excused on a day like today. After all, today is the start of Daylight Saving Time.
