Amsterdam Sloterijk, 22 July 2018.
In September new buses were put into service for the Haarlem-IJmond concession. This includes these R-NET liveried VDL Citeas for the service from Amsterdam to IJmuiden. The service no longer serves the centre of the city, rather station Sloterdijk, where passengers have to change to a train/tram/metro/bus.

Op 5 mei 2015 (Bevrijdingsdag) waren er maar liefst 3x VDL Citeabussen actief op lijn 69! Een lijn waar hoofdzakelijk gereden wordt met gelede bussen van Mercedes Citaro.
At 5 May 2015 (Liberation Day, the reason of the flags on the GVB vehicles), were there 3x Citea buses on line 69, which usually runs with articulated Mercedes Citaro buses. Here was the 1466, a newer variant of the Citea buses, from the latest 1450-series. Personally, I like these buses more than the older 1100-series, because the better and more improved drivability and the better designed 'roof' at the backside.
A VDL Citea bus in use by Arriva for its concession in Rivierenland. From the area there are some bus lines to Nijmegen. This bus is sorry for being out of service.

Middenweg | Brinkstraat 14/11/2016 13h30
Bus line 41 has been diverted during a few weeks due to road works in Duivendrecht and has a stop along Betondorp and Park de Meer at Brinkstraat. Apart from the night buses there are commonly no GVB buses to be seen at this point. This bus is part of a series of VDL Citea buses transporter GVB had in use. Fleet number 1158 is part of a series of 70 of these standard buses of the series 1101 - 1170 (type SLF 120.250).
VDL Citea
The Citea is a series of low-floor buses from bus manufacturer VDL Bus & Coach, part of the internationally operating Dutch VDL Groep. The bus is produced in the Netherlands, VDL Bus Heerenveen in Heerenveen, with VDL Bus Modules Valkenswaard and in Belgium with Beveren Jonckheere in Roeselare.
The Citea was presented in 2007 at the "UITP Mobility and City Transport Exhibition" in Helsinki. The bus has a completely flat floor and is the first model of a new generation of buses for public transport. With the advent of the Citea were the city buses SB 250 Jonckheer (12 meters version) and the Diplomat aside.
A Citea bus is built in fifteen days as a kind of kit. Suppliers have already done the preparatory work.

Een standaardbus lijkt de laatste tijd dagelijkse kost te zijn op lijn 18, tussen de gelede Citaro's.
A standard Citea bus seems now a daily variation between the articulated Citaro's which usually run on this line.
To conclude the current selection of VDL Citea, this 12-metre example is a 'cut and shut' edit of the tri-axle 13.7 metre version. The dimensions are not exact and, perhaps more importantly (as far as I'm aware), the range is not available in right-hand drive configuration. This fictional Arriva version carries the current TfL livery specification (24-Mar-13).

Vanwege de grotere vraag naar gelede bussen op lijn 48 tijdens SAIL 2015, reed lijn 15 vrijwel geheel met standaardbussen.
Due of the SAIL 2015 event around middle of August, was there a bigger need of articulated buses on line 48 (whice came around the event). So was bus line 15 mainly run with the shorter Citea-buses.
The two different series of the GVB-standard buses are seen here.

Oosthuizen, 26 August 2019.
While we were driving back from Marken to Hoorn we passed a number of these brand new EBS Citea electric buses. They were on their way to being delivered to their new home in Delft. They were put into service the next day when EBS started operating the Haaglanden concession.
When the photo was taken they were en route from Heerenveen to Delft via Edam, where they would recharge their batteries to be able to complete their journey.
