Avedøre. Keolis 8534 just withdrawn after 10 years in service. It managed to stack up 1.602.000 km in those 10 years. This bus never had a day off - now it will be used for spareparts for the remaining type in Copenhagen

The trailer holds the hydrogen fuel cell technology that is used to support the batteries of the electric bus, thereby extending its range. Surely it must be the shortest vehicle registered in the country.

This VDL Citea bus is used by Transdev (formerly Connexxion) for services under the R-net brand in the concession Gooi en Vechtstreek. R-net is a high-quality public transport network in the Randstad area. Seen here in front of the railway station of Hilversum.

Public transportation in Amsterdam is operated by GVB, the Municipal Transport Company of Amsterdam. The GVB has 70 VDL Citea SLF 120-250 buses in use since 2011.

This GVB Citea bus showed the wrong destination sign, it showed 246 'sorry, geen dienst' (sorry, not in service) instead of busline 66 'IJburg'.

 

Op deze GVB-Citeabus stond de verkeerde bestemming. Er werd '246 sorry geen dienst' getoond in plaats van '66 IJburg' (buslijn 49 naar Weesp rijdt niet in de avond).

Arriva Citea 9601 op lijn 3 naar Nazareth bij de Helmstraat in Maastricht

Deze buslijn 58 is bedoeld als metropendel, om het vervallen metroverkeer tussen Duivendrecht en Station Overamstel over te nemen. Het rondje wordt gereden vanaf Station Duivendrecht tot aan de Joan Muyskenweg rondon station Overamstel. Het volledige rondje heen en terugrijden duurt in totaal ongeveer 10 minuten.

This 13.7 metre tri-axle example is popular in some European markets, where longer vehicles are more readily accepted. The source image, courtesy of Keith McGillivray, is a Connexxion vehicle operated on R-Net services around Amsterdam. As with most contemporary Dutch buses, it incorporates a single-width entrance, which I have retained on this mirror image despite its probable unsuitability for UK operations.

 

Arriva operates examples of the tri-axle VDL Citea in Sweden and the Netherlands, but this UK version in the current ‘Interurban’ livery is entirely fictional. It carries branding for Arriva North East’s ‘Castle & Coast Connections’ service 518 (21-Mar-13).

VDL Citea LLE-120 | 24 Doetinchem - 's-Heerenberg

Busline 63 on its terminus Matterhorn in Osdorp.

 

This busline from Osdorp to Lelylaan is in my opinion the least essential busline from GVB, because it's route is very awful and short (just 15 minutes long). This line is a short and splitted part of the former (and more essential) line 23, the other side of that previous line is giving the number '62', and runs from Lelylaan to Amstelstation.

 

- Serves no significative sections of Osdorp, like Osdorpplein, Pieter Calandlaan, Baden Powellweg (with across line 1), in contrast to line 192.

- Unlike the former line 23, it don't give a good connection to Osdorp from Haarlemmermeerstation or Hoofddorpplein (at Lelylaan will line 62 change in line 63, but you're required to leave the bus and must wait outside for it's departure)

- Only a 2x/hour frequency at afternoon, saturdays and sundays

  

Buslijn 63 in Osdorp. Wat mij betreft een kort en onhandig lijntje. De lijn kent vandaag de dag zijn vorm als een westelijke afgeknipte tak van de voormalige lijn 23, welke dienst deed tussen dit eindpunt in Osdorp en Station Zuid (WTC). Ondanks dat menig passagier van deze lijn gebruik lijkt te maken, kan vanaf dit punt ook tramlijn 1 worden gebruikt om het eindpunt bij de Lelylaan te bereiken. De lijn doet de noordelijke buurtjes van Osdorp en de Osdorper Ban aan, maar niet het verlaten stuk over De Alpen. Het was een beter principe geweest als er één goede lijn van werd gemaakt.
