Portmeirion tourist village in Gwynedd, North Wales was the brainchild of Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and was designed and constructed between 1925 and 1975.
It was built in the style of an Italian village with many of the buildings using original architecture imported from abroad.
The village achieved notoriety through being the location for the cult television series 'The Prisoner' starring Patrick McGoohan which was first broadcast during late 1967 and early 1968.

Red raffle tickets from Saturday's picnic. My computer crashed yesterday, so successfully processing this picture on the new computer feels pretty satisfying. Had several problems getting software loaded, but with a little help from tech support, I'm ready to take photos and work on them for a trip that starts tomorrow. Off to pack now and will catch up with you soon...:)

I went to Henry's for water, and since my camera was hanging around my neck I snapped - did not know what I had until I got home. I really liked it.
My Week - It's been hard! I bought a new computer and I have been moving everything from old to new.... it has been frustrating some programs covert quickly some do not. I am not finished, it will probably take another week at least! I need to go grocery shopping more often!
